I love the one from the thanksgiving shows last year

I bought tickets but had to go home to st louis. My girlfriend went and bought this home for me. The best part is that the poster is almost identical to the view i have looking out my window.

Things are definately different now with the technology. The internet has killed ticketing for the average or even above average fan. Sure in the past scalpers had their ways of getting tickets, but it was a much more even playing field. You could always find an out of the way ticket outlet and get good seats. For example, I went to a ghetto ass mall to get Phish tickets once and got 3rd row.

Now things obviously sell out much faster and the types of shows that are selling out quickly has changed. Basically now, everything sells out right away and scalpers are so eager to make a buck that they will buy up tickets and are willing to take a hit rather than miss out on a big payday.

Evil Horn if you go to NO instead of Chicago I'd be more than happy to take those tickets off your hands

As far as scalpers go, I just checked out e-bay and people arent bidding much at all on the Chicago shows. Most auctions are ending without people offering up the 90 dollar a night opening bid.

would love to know more on this and how it works. how does the software get around entering words that I've never used?

i dont know, i asked my broker friend about it and he didnt understand it at all

he told me thats why he pays somebody to do it for him

I have recently started to go see Wilco live with my girlfriend who is really into them. I have known their music, and enjoyed them on the radio for quite some time. We are both pretty upset right now.

 

I realize that it is legal, all I am saying is something should be done. They are swooping in and getting these tickets because its a rare event. It doesn't happen as much for the single show in Anywhere, USA. If the band is interested in their fans seeing these shows there has to be something that can be done. I am suggesting that NO ONE gets tickets from broker sites, even if it means not seeing your favorite band during a very rare event.

i like your though process, but would you really miss out on this run versus coughing up 100 bucks per ticket for one night?

Scalping is legal in many states, it's just that software they use to grab hundreds of tickets at one time is the problem.

I have a dear friend from college who is indeed (gasp) a ticket broker.

I've told him he has a shady job,but he makes great money and enjoys what he does.

Anyway, argue as much as you want about how shady he is or what horrible person he is, but my point of this post is that, he got shut out this morning trying to pull tickets for me.

I'm looking for 1-2 tickets (preferably 2 but at this point i'll take what i can get) for any of the Chicago shows.
