  1. Here's a short video from last night's SLR show:
  2. Not yet... I was just by the venue. No sign of a line... unless... nah. Never mind. ~G.
  3. I like the Riv! It has interesting acoustics (no AC, not that we'll worry about that during the show). As already mentioned, the best sound is usually by the sound engineer's ear. Where ever he/she is listening from to mix the room, is going to sound better than elsewhere. It's bassy in the back of the main floor by the bars, most likely due to the balcony overhang. I'd stay away from there and the garbage & bar areas, because the sound of bottles breaking in the trash really can disrupt your enjoyment of the show. The balcony is hit or miss, they do fly left and right stacks for the balc
  4. I actually like this bill. It's balanced. The true test is when the schedule is let out. Maybe there won't be any scheduling conflicts for ya. Anyway, Rothbury is ~ 3-4 hours away from here. It's an hour and a half north of Kalamazoo / Grand Rapids area. ~G.

I'm promoting a couple of shows over there. However, most of the members of the Truth are in the Time... so it's that kind of a project! If you look back in the posts of those interviewed about the Time, most of them are on the bill at the show. It should be fun! I found that link to the Time on youtube... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6473RFvhCo ~G.
  7. Yeah, well I figured that was a post on what's going on around Chicago tonight? And does everyone read every post? Plus, I kind of gave y'all a good place to check on for easy parking. That was new. Thank you for recognizing my ability to disseminate information and to promote events. I'll try to keep it to a minimum in the future for ya! ~G.

  10. I've got a bunch of old Tom Waits shows and interviews in my collection. There's this one interview where Tom starts talking about what he actually thinks of the way his material was handled. I'm not saying that Scarlet has anything to worry about, but he tore a 1970s southern rock outfit a new a&$@ole!Tom Waits can be surly!
