I just paid $68 total for 4 lawn seats at Deer Creek. Awesome early bird deal

It is lame that it wasn't a new episode last night. Anyway, how many left? 3 and then the 2 hour finale?
Yep, new ones on May 4, 11, 18 and then the 2 hours final on Sunday the 23rd

Also help finding a quality rip once the stream starts tomorrow would be appreciated. Not sure how many trips to atease my brain can cope with in a given week.
I don't even like Radiohead but I visit that site way too often. I think The National thread was up to 200 pages before it even leaked

I'm not actually asking this question. I'm just quoting someone else that asked it.
Yes
Band of Horses, The National, Josh Ritter, The Hold Steady, and The New Pornographers all have leaked in the past few days

i found it a bit too slow/mellow on the whole i think... but it's certainly not a bad record, it's just the first blew me away
I'm in the same boat. I've only given Infinate Arms 1 spin so far, so not sure where it will fit in, but doesn't hit me like Everything did first time I heard it

Just to piggy back off what everyone else was saying, having someone there to help is a must at least the first few days. When I left the hospital I was walking and feeling pretty decent, and thought I could stay at my apartment (second floor, no lift), but my in-laws made me stay with them. Good call, because I guess I was just very well drugged when I left the hospital. By that night I was pretty immobile and in pain

Thanks, Boots! Where you in Bloomington then? Who was your surgeon? I'm meeting with Dr. Haddad, who also happened to do my wife's breast surgery last summer (year, it's been a rough couple of years). Are you still in Bloomington?
After the 2 weeks were you able to go back to work, or was that just when you started feeling well enough to get out of bed?
Yep, still in Bloomington, and enjoying the warm weather. I had it done in Michigan a few months before I moved to Bloomington, and two months before my wedding. I was really sore for a few days (I remember just downing pain pills and watching college basketball for like 2 days), and generally sore for two weeks or so. But with my surgery it was like a 4 inch scar, so I have to think your recovery time would be a lot better since they know what they are doing going in. They told even told me as much after surgery. I think I was back to work within a week or so, having a desk job helped.
I know they also put some sort of mesh screen or something in to prevent any future hernias. I guess if you have one you are more likely to have another
Sorry to hear so much medical stress in the family recently. Hope lots of happy and healthy times are forthcoming

Well, looks like I'm going to need hernia surgery. I have an appointment with a surgeon next week.
anyone every have one repaired? laparoscopic or otherwise? What was the recovery time? Any good questions you'd recommend that I should ask the surgeon?
Wish me luck! It'll actually provide me with some much needed down time.
I had this done several years ago. They had actually ruled out a hernia and told me it might be cancer so they would have to do exploratory surgery, and of course once they were in there realized it was only a hernia. I assume because I had exploratory surgery and a pretty big scar that my recovery time was longer than with a more exact procedure, but I was pretty well laid up for 2 weeks. It’s been 8 years though, and not a problem since. Best of luck, hope it's not too painful and you recovery quickly.

I don't think that is accurate. When did he say he was them "all die"? I think what he said was that everyone at the temple was dead, but then when asked about Jack, Kate, Hurley, etc. he sort of shook his head and said "they weren't there".
Richard told Sun last season (just a few days in Lost time) when she showed them a picture of the 77 Dharma group with Jack, Kate, Hurley, etc that he knew them back then and that he saw them die

. I can't imagine watching LOST with a buzz on.
It's the best way to watch it actually. Although a more sober second watching over the weekend can help

I was thinking that perhaps it was what they were drilling into that caused them to pushed back into 2007 more than the bomb. Remember this is the same place that Desmond was at the end or season 2/start of season 3 when he turned the key and became unstuck in time. It was a different sort of time travel perhaps but that hatch was blown to shit and he was fine. The other thing is that although the Island sank it seemed pretty intact when they did that shot from the airplane to the bottom of the ocean (those FX's were horrible btw). Perhaps the bomb didn't even go off and whatever sent them forward in time and sank the Island was something else alltogether.
Right now we have a sunk Island that didn't look like Hiroshima and the losties shot through time, that in my mind leans against the bomb going off and more to something else

Also, how do any of the 1977 characters know about the Ajira flight landing? Kind of a plot whole there.
When they first got to the temple Cindy mentioned they were from the first plane. I would assume they took that to mean the second place, the one they had been on, landed on the island sans them.

Parks and Rec has gotten way better this year. And how often have there been 2 TV shows set in Indiana on at the same time?!?! (Parks and Rec & The Middle). Go Hoosier state!
I've only caught bits and pieces of Parks and Rec (we watch the other 3 shows on during that NBC block), but I saw they drink Upland beer on the show which is pretty cool. Maybe I need to get myself a growler and watch it one of these nights

As a Charger fan I don't know if I've enjoyed their season more or Cutler's more. That said I've always had a soft spot in my heart for the Bears and all things Chicago, and wouldn't have wished Cutler on them in the first place.
-
But I don't buy the Saints being the NFC representative. Vikings or Eagles. Maybe even the Packers.
I could see that on the NFC side. I guess I just like the idea of a Brees v Rivers match up more than anything.

I think San Diego wins out and fails spectacularly, as usual. At least, I hope; I dislike their key players.
??? fails spectacularly, as usual ???
I'll grant you that when we lost to the Pats 3 years ago back during the days of Martyball, but I'm not sure that holds up recently
2008- Upset the Colts and lost to eventual Superbowl Champ Pittsuburgh 35-24
2007- Beat the Titans in round 1, Upset the Colts with Billy Volek leading the 4th quarter comeback(Rivers and LT knocked out of game, and Gates too if I remember right). Lost to the still undefeated Pats 21-12 in New England. Rivers was playing with a torn MCL (I think he had surgery that week)
Sure we haven't won the Super Bowl, but those have been some pretty decent playoff runs. I really think this is the year for the Chargers. Their Defense has been palying well and making the key stops when the need to, something the Chargers never seemed to do recently.
As a Charger fan in Indiana I'm really looking forwad to a Colts-Chargers AFC Championship
Chargers over Saints in Superbowl shootout

I can see your issue with ABAAC, but I couldn't disagree more on BTCD. But I think we've been down this path before....
Can't believe I forgot them.
I can't believe I forgot The National either, or Josh Ritter

off the top of my head these have been my favorite, and I'm sure I'm missing someone big
Neko Case
Andrew Bird
Ryan Adams
Stephen Malkmus
MMJ
The New Pornographers
The Hold Steady
James McMurty
Wilco
Jay Farrar/Son Volt- I'm making it all one person
-
it gets funnier each time you watch it, you'll notice new stuff & get more of the jokes.
Seeing all the forshadowing you miss the 1st time around is great (i.e. Buster's hand)
-
I'm actually seeing her tonight opening for Andrew Bird at the Murat in Indy. I haven't checked out any of her albums, although I love the cover she did with the National
-
As far as local bands I have seen a lot that didn't really make it..
From Good Homes
God Street Wine
Ours
I remember seeing God Street Wine at HORDE in what must have been 96. Don't remember anything about the show, but the name always stuck in my head
-
7-11 was running a promo like this over the weekend too. I ended up picking up Andrew Bird tickets for the Murat in Indy for $7.11 of course, and the fees were about the same price as the tickets. But still worked out well, 2 tickets for $30

I feel like they just realized that the dude that plays Garrity can sing and they're pulling for material. The first one was funny because it came out of nowhere and was short and involved him trying to shoot his asshole brother with a shotgun. The last two have just been dumb and way too long.
.
I'm pretty sure the actor who plays Garrity is normally a Broadway actor, so I bet he's been wanting to do something like this for awhile

I'm actually picking up an external HD myself this weekend. I finally got a 120 GB Ipod and need to get everything on there (had a 20 GB Dell DJ for years) and I wanted to be able to back up picures, DVD's, etc so I wanted 1 TB
I think I'm picking this one up. In the price range I wanted ($100 ish) and a brand I've generally heard good things about.
