  1. I sort of OD'ed on this album the summer after it came out, so it's not one of the albums I listen to a lot now. When I do revisit it, though, I always enjoy it. It takes me back to a specific time in my life, a summer that was filled with a lot of big changes, and there are a few songs that will always especially remind me of that.

Almost a complete ditto on that one... Big things afoot that summer/fall, and Sky Blue Sky, from edge to edge, got me through more than I can say. World Party albums used to do that for me, now it seems it's Wilco...

Can't wait to see what they have in store for us this Spring!

  2. I listen to A.M. a lot and think its a magnificent record. My favorite on the record is either Shouldn't Be Ashamed or That's Not The Issue. But I also love every other track, save for the mediocre Stirratt tune

I love that song.... I've been hoping to catch one since the residency debut. I haven't caught one yet, but time's on my side (I tell myself).

  3. Personally, 75% of my Wilco listening is live (thank you owlandbear!)

Off topic - Why does Owl and Bear crash my browser every time I try to visit, let alone download??

But to the point.. AM is not my priority listen (studio discs a constant shuffle with live shows), but the occasional visits are always a treat. Meet the Beatles vs. Abbey Road. Meanstreets vs. Gangs of New York. etc....

  4. I think the new album is a masterpiece... I can't stop listening. There was a nice Louris/Olson show on Dime for awile. I think the tracker is still active. It's from Glasgow. Real nice sounding recording, and the show is top notch.

We're going to the Somerville Theater show on Friday. I can't wait (also pretty pysched to be holding 3rd row Calvin tix for Tweedy!). Shaping up to be a good couple of months..

  5. Keep checking.....there are always people who are able to get in 20 or 30 minutes after they go on sale. Keep trying until it says they're really sold out.

Thank you, Mrs. Peel. I posted just after 10 about being shut out... Kept trying per you suggestion, and now have four tix third row dead center!!!!!!!! My day is now officially MADE.

I love Wilco more than I can say, and this will be my first Tweedy show.

    I am a happy fellow.
