  1. I just don't think that the whole idea that Christianity was made up is valid, because it is so complicated, so unexpected, so radical, that it cannot be a mere man that has come up with such claims
  2. This has become an argument over who is smarter, and quite frankly, I don't care.
  3. I'm still holding on to the fact that love ain't a bunch of chemical reactions
  4. I need to get me some Grateful Dead, I am ashamed of my lack of them or is it?
  5. I need to get me some Kings of Leon, as they have been mentioned many a times to me, always positive
  6. I've got a ticket reserved for me, so I be pumped even without Wilco playing, I am hoping for either a surprise group to come or an extra long Neil Young set.
  7. Here's a random thought, that may be irrelevant, but it's just something to throw out there: Is love simply a bunch of chemical reactions?
  8. anyways, I bought the tickets his new single just came out (listen to it here: myspace.com/raylamontagne) and I am pretty excited is anyone else going?
  9. I have been long tracking an alleged December 9th show at allstate arena listed on Jambase as being with Wilco (http://www.jambase.com/shows/event.aspx?EventID=798354) and on livenation as being with a TBA special guest ... (http://www.livenation.com/event/getEvent/eventId/335648/?c=api-000005) This would be pretty awesome, but I am not sure whether or not the alleged super expensive tickets are worth it
  10. Yeah I hear you. My last vacation was spent with a broken CD player and no iPod, but I did have A Ghost Is Born in the car, so I read and reread the lyrics many a times. Their is definitely some poetic gold to be found even without the music. My favorite songs were (like you said) Hell is Chrome and Handshake Drugs. Poor Places is my favorite othe wise. I'm not going outside.
  11. As singer-songwriters like Bob Dylan and Tom Waits are still putting out great albums 10-20 years older than Wilco, do you think that the same will go for Wilco, nonetheless Tweedy? it's cool to think about how young they really are (or aren't if thats what you think) and what will be going on 10 20 years from now. heck, we might even be calling this whole era of their career the middle years (or tank and burn because their music is too commercial cause nels solos and jeffs happy yadadadadadadada)
  12. Sorry for my stupid comments, I shouldn't be so easily offended by any of these claims, my fault. I just have a hard time because I really believe that there is much good to come, and any thoughts otherwise make me worried that i am wrong, which is also stupid, cause who knows, right?
  13. Are you saying that more people will join the minority?
  14. Agreed. People saying Wilco is going downhill, losing their importance, it's scary. very scary
  15. I don't see it is going downhill in songwriting, it just seems that the band laid back a little more, and (quote Tweedy) just played people some motherflippin songs
  16. sorry for the noobness, but what does megaupload require in order to get it? do i have to download something?
  17. Yeah, I guess I kind of just assumed, it would be great
  18. Dugg for reconfirming another Chicago residency !
  19. I was supposed to go sleep an hour ago I just couldn't stop watching I just couldn't stop So so awesome
  20. I don't know where i'll be tonight, well... all right!
