I'm going to leave the last three spots open for the next month or so.

Also, I couldn't craft a good enough Iggy Azelia joke to put her on the list. So let's just laugh at her anywho.

  2. I'm in favor of this as long as you're not obnoxious about it (i.e. keep the phone at bellybutton level vs forehead level).

I've searched twitter a few times trying to get real time setlists so that I can either re-create or imagine.

The next time will be last night of the Winterlude. I hope someone's real timing that one.

  3. I'm looking to trade 2 Center Balcony Row B, for 2 on the floor for tomorrow night (10/29).

I don't want to have to play the "should we stand or should we sit" game. I have hard tickets in hand and can meet at the Cap anytime after 3ish.

  4. How many more shows would Wilco need to add before they could call it a residency?

If they stick with their policy of very few repeats (combined with their utter refusal to play anything from WTA) and a standard 26 song setlist you've got 78 out of 94 songs (and they don't play Sunloathe, Capital City, Say You Miss Me, and several others all that often).

We're possibly looking at them playing every song that they play on a tour over the course of three nights.

If you can do all three, do it.

  5. So, back on topic.

How likely is the 2nd show in Port Chester the last Wilco show of 2014?

And at what point do they resurface in 2015? Spring because of an itch to play? Early summer when the new album's done? World Tour kickoff at Solid Sound?

  6. I thought the floor at the Cap was the more expensive ticket so I didnt even look at it when I ordered.

If anyone wants to trade 2 GA's for two in the center balcony (Row B), PM me. I'll eat the ten dollar price difference as I'd rather be on the floor than up top (despite how good the view looks when I clicked on the seating chart).

That should say Row B. Not row smiley winky guy.

  8. Bahamas (Alfie Jurvanen) was announced as the opener for Wilco for the 2 Ohio shows.  I suppose it was a little overly optimistic to hope for an "evening with" format for their first live full-band shows in ALMOST ONE YEAR.  And I think we're about to the point where there won't be any more shows announced to go along with these.  There's only a tiny little window of time from the end of Aug till mid Sept when everybody in the band is free.  Maybe they'll squeeze in another show or two, but it seems it's getting kinda late.

So, I anxiously await Columbus... less than 3 weeks away!

My guess is a couple of shows within an hour of NYC and a couple shows within an hour of Chicago, both in December. Probably early-ish December.

  9. I've got it like this:

    AM                       - I Thought I Held You

Being There        - the Lonely 1

Summer Teeth     - We're just Friends

Yankee                - Heavy Metal Drummer (I wish this was a first set closer, it'd be perfect for a quick piss break)

AGIB                    - Less than you Think

SBS                     - Leave me Like you Found Me

WTA                    - Deeper Down (my nom for worst song in the catalogue)

Whole Love         - One Sunday Boring (mostly because it eats up the space of two other better songs in concert)

I'll agree with the uneasy feelings about late-era Wilco. I hope the Tweedy band gets all of that out of Jeff's system so that Wilco can get back on track.

  10. Meanwhile, there could very well be new album progress going on behind the scenes in the weeks between side-project outings this year.

Thats another item that is somewhat concerning, in that, if everyone's out touring with various other entitties when do they have time to get together to record new Wilco music?

Lock'n might actually be a barometer of where they're at with new Wilco tunes. If they crank out 4 or 5 new songs that'd indicate decent progress on a new album.

Its cool that they're off doing their own things but its a similar situation to my not wanting a plate of ground beef one week, some lettuce and tomato a few weeks later, and a slice of cheese and a bun a month after that. It works and tastes so much better as a cheeseburger. And right now i'm ALMOST as sad about going a year without Wilco as I would be about going a year without a cheeseburger.

  11. Personally I'm hoping for a couple of shows before and a couple of shows after Lock'n. Unfortunately they'll probably need to be announced soon if they're happening.

Hopefully they're just waiting for the last thousand or so tickets for Lockn to sell out and then they'll announce two shows at Tangelwood, two shows in Atlanta or Charlotte and then two in Chicago. Boom. Mini-tour, crying averted.
