  1. Man I am supremely bummed about this. Been having a blast in Chicago and this just dampens the whole trip.  Hoping for some kind of miracle.  However anyone have any suggestions on how to fight loneliness in downtown Chicago?

  2. Maybe I'm just being optimistic but the radar on my phone shows heavy rain now while the other storm cloud appears to be heading north of Chicago.  I've been looking forward to this show for a while and drove in town thursday night to take in Chicago and taste before TWEEDY takes the stage needless to say I have a lot invested in this trip.  Really hoping for a couple of rain free hours.  I have high hopes for the hometown show and setlist.  Looking forward to hearing the Suekierae songs again now that I've had time to let them simmer a bit.

Rain or Shine Im stoked TWEEDY Via Chicago!

Note: if the TB is Whipping Me is played I will be the man who stands up and screams woohoo!

  3. Last night was Outstanding. Sunday night was my 23rd Bday but Monday night took the cake. The setlist was great. Via Chicago opener set the tone for the night. Liked when jeff said "you know we love you we wrote a song about it but we played that last night." The sound was still loud as hell but I thought it sounded a lot more balanced. The keys were a lot more prominent. Highlight for me was Poor Places to Spiders... I was in a haze of Kidsmoke it was outstanding. Glad they left the states with such a bang then again I expected nothing less which is probably why I'm broke getting on a plane back to NOLA. As always a priceless trip. Plus the best 2 days to the start of any Bday year I could ask for. Thanks Chicago and Wilco!

  4. So I am in town to see the 2 night stand at UIC and was wondering if anyone knew where the Wilco Loft was. I know its in Irving Park but can't find any more info on it. If anyone knows where its located I would really appreciate it if you emailed me at

cjnichol@loyno.edu ill be out running around see ya at the shows!

    thanks!

  5. I'm a Wheel was also played after Hoodoo Voodoo to close out this spectacular set.

This was my first show on the tour and a damn good one at that. Jeff was very aggressive and loving the audience. A few things I noticed. The breeze began blowing during Bull Black which sent shivers down my spine. The solo on Ashes was considered "epic" from Jeff which I assume you were referring to already. On Hummingbird Jeff was doing the typical jogging and mic twirl. He began extending the slack on the twirl so much at the end he tried to catch it and dropped it straight at the end of the song. It was really funny as he said darn and shot the crowd a goofy smile. Jeff commented on the "pungent odor" coming from the crowd. Jeff's kids were jamming with Kotche for a couple of songs towards the end. Man it was a great evening.

Another funny thing I noticed was a group of kids in front of me who had brought in what appeared to be a giant bamboo walking stick but when the kids sat down they inserted a slide and water into it. It was a walking-stick-bong. I guess that's the Rado for ya. =) Just waking up still sure there will be more to post later.

  6. So I haven't seen much talk about this but I am stoked to see Wilco at Jazzfest this Saturday, I was wondering if anyone else was going and what not?

One thing after looking over the past few setlists I haven't seen any tunes from the new album, I could be wrong about not seeing any new tunes on the setlists..... but if I'm correct.... all the articles here in Nola about the show imply to expect new material basically.... The Jazzfest Bible from Offbeat begins with saying "Expect to hear a lot from the band's new album, which is getting the usual critical raves three months before its expected release."

So what's up? we gonna hear some new tunes? Is WilCo waiting for the lovely saturday evening to blow ours minds once more after they've been ever so generous with A Voodoo festival experience, Two-Night Tipitina's Stand! (absolutely incredible) and now an all out Jazz Fest blow out! (_hopefully_) see anyone whose anyone there :dancing then see ya at Bonnaroo then Red Rocks!

  7. I got one in 29 and 2 in 40.... I didn't want to gamble with the GA... I'm coming from St. Louis so I don't think I will be up close in the long waiting line that I'm sure will be there a night early....Plus the lot scene has always been awesome at Red Rocks!!

So what's the deal with the pre-sale site? It's F*ing terrible

    anyways can't wait
