What are everyone's thoughts on going to two nights in a row?
I'm assuming if it's the same format, the band set would be pretty similar, but we'll probably get a different solo set list both nights, right?

Does Jeff normally play a 12 string for Reservations?

I was almost dead center in the second tier and wish the horns were louder also.

We kind of have 4 of the 6 so far.....

I loved the rework (original work?) on Camera. Fucking great. Enjoyed the show but in front of the sound board were a lot of people arguing and fighting. I mean literally almost coming to blows and just being generally nasty. Guess I won't go back there tomorrow night.
Sounds like there were idiots everywhere. I just don't get it.

In my opinion, the balcony is the best place to be unless you are right down front. Then again, I don't like to stand after staying in line. During the Winter Residency shows I sat in the balcony. Even if several rows back, sit off to the left or right and you can get an aisle seat for comfort and a better view. There is a sweet spot in the aisle seats on either side of the balcony where you will be able to see without anyone blocking your view. Acoustics are very good too. I'm sure there are other places like near the sound board for acoustics. From my experience, either right up front on the floor or near front of balcony. It's fairly easy to get a good balcony seat without getting in line extremely early as the rush is mostly for the floor.
Thanks for the info.
Any ballpark on time to get in line to be right up front on the floor? How about getting a good spot in the balcony?
I'm flying out alone tomorrow morning and would love to be able to meet some folks for dinner or in line, so I'm not rolling solo.
Thanks!

Yes. I was the one who organized it (you can check the thread in the tab section). They were gonna start charging money so I took it down. It is my plan to move to another hosted wiki that is free.
We speak your name!

RE: Cars Can't Escape - I could be wrong, but this sounds like a "finished" version of the one we already had. Very cool to hear this version.

I am starting to plan my trip to Chicago for the December shows. I'll be coming from LAX. Never done any trip like this, let alone solo, so please bear with me.
How late would be "too late" of an arrival at O'Hare to get downtown, check in and get up to the show at a reasonable time on a Friday?
What are my best options from getting to O'Hare to the downtown area?
I assume taxi is my best bet to get to the show each night, right?

I am looking to start planing this trip and I could use some advice from locals or folks who have made this trip before.
Would this be the best place to ask questions or is there somewhere else I should post?
EDIT: Just found the thread over in "Tongue-Tied Lightning"
Are there usually any get togethers other that pre-show drinks? I'll be coming solo and don't have much on my to-do list at the moment.

Think it will accommodate about 2500?
If your getting older like me, head for front of the balcony. Acoustics good as is view.
Save me a seat!

I'd bet delivery options were baised on buyer location.
I only had Will Call as an option. I'm in California.

Just now got a ticet to night 2, keep trying folks.

Nights 1 and 2 sold out?
-
I am thinking 12/8-12/12 as well, hotels are much cheaper.
-
Anyone interested in doing some kind of organized ticket buying and swapping to up our chances of getting tickets to all our preferred shows?
-
Really considering booking a flight and hotel and coming to Chicago alone for this.

You and I was playing at my local Stater Brothers last night

The sound quality is outstanding. I am one song in and I have the dumbest grin on my face.
I am so stoked they released all of these AND that there is a "buy three get one free" promotion going on.
Fantastic.

Fascinating, thanks!

Actually I think it is....and isn't that Lotti's letter laying on the cart beside him?
Didn't Jeff wear the same long sleeve black button up every night?
I also don't remember that specific guitar, but I also have a terrible memory.

I don't think that's one of the Largo shows. So apparently someone was flaunting the rules

My first post to VC though I am a HUGE Wilco fan....
I'm pretty sure we were line friends. Howdy!

If I don't go tonight will it be akin to not watching the last episode of a TV show or not reading the last chapter in a book so it never truly ends?

I do. I'd like to go to both LA shows.
