  1. just thinking here-- but, if i were to stay only 2 nights, would it be better to do sat/sun opposed to fri/sat? Did Wilco announce that the 2 shows they are playing are sat/sun or did I just imagine that? Just trying to figure out the cheapest way to go about attending this. Going to buy tix tomorrow regardless ;)

  2. there were tapers at both nights, and i gave a card to a guy in boston (who i believe said he'd be @ the concord show as well, though i didn't see him) so hopefully these will surface soon enough.

tinnitus, when can we expect to see some photos?! :yes was just looking around your site, it's amazing a) how many of the same shows we've been to and B ) how eclectic that list is! i've saved a ticket stub from every show i've been to-- i can only hope that one day i will have attended as many shows as you have there.

  3. Also, just noticing that the Holiday Inn has a "mass moca" special where you receive 2 adult passes to the event when you book your room. Not sure how much you save, as the room is $179.99/night. Looking around for the cheapest hotel possible...

  4. Are the only tickets available for three days? Do you think it will be possible to buy a ticket for a single day? Not sure if I'll be able to afford the hotel etc... Living two hours away I'd be able to make the trip once, but doing so three days in a row would be a bit much.

  5. this was my third wilco show, and certainly the best. i was to the far left, five rows back. unfortunately, i couldnt see mikael, nels, or glen. kind of a bummer... the crowd around me seemed to be having a good time, but were relatively subdued. i think most of them sat for the majority of the show. either way, my father and i had a wonderful time. once it was getting close to 11pm we kept looking at one another with that "are they really going to play another one?" face. all in all a solid setlist-- was so happy to hear laminated cat and i must be high in the acoustic portion. what an evening! :thumbup

can't wait to hear more about this! it says tickets go on sale the 9th :)

  6. cool, i met that photographer @ the Spoon show in Boston a couple of weekends ago.

what did u think of that show? i wasn't all that impressed... deerhunter are a much better studio band, and i felt like spoon weren't all that memorable. britt has a great stage presence though-- but it felt like he was more or less going through the motions.

  7. I think it's a matter of finding a program that basically records whatever is going through your soundcard. Many of the free programs have time limitations, meaning one couldn't record the entire set due to only having the trial version. I'm not going to be at my computer, nor am I tech savvy enough to begin to figure out how to do it. This is my only idea... Is the likelihood of WILCO putting it up for download is pretty small? I know they've done this before and recordings haven't surfaced... as far as I'm aware. Anyway, excited to be there!!!

  8. as much as i love wilco, and love vinyl, i can't see paying $70 for these lps. also, i hate flipping a record after just a few tracks. to listen to all lps would require 8 total trips to the turntable-- that is like 6 trips too many. i'l sacrifice sound quality and listen to the cds.
