  1. God, I need a smoke after all that.

Hartford tickets were up at 9:58 and I got 4 but I can't understand where they are. They say Orchestra Level, Presale Section D, Row F, 209-212. But looking at the seating chart, I can't place that:

Also got 2 GA for Montclair Saturday. No luck with Philly.

    Whoo! Whoowhoo!

section D looks to be the third section from the bottom on that page. looks to be the middle section after the pit up front. for what its worth-- that is the worst seating chart of all time. why wouldn't they have a diagram of the floor plan?

i think this may be more helpful: http://intl.ticketseating.com/maps/450w/3144-mortensen-hall-bushnell-theatre-end-stage.jpg

  2. just got left center row KK for boston. I think i had better seats but accidentally clicked refresh and had to go in again. OOPS! Either way, the venue starts with row DD so this is about 8 rows :)

how did all other boston folks do?

  3. So I got the tour poster framed with my Lowell and Portland tickets from the summer tour. Just picked it up this evening and wanted to share.

Here is an older one I had done for a Tom Petty show I saw in Los Angeles in 2002

I'm really happy with the new Wilco one. These posters are pretty incredible and look nice with the tickets mounted with them. They look nicer on a white wall but this will do for now :)

Mods-- if this thread doesn't belong here you may move it or I can delete it.

    Enjoy!

  4. Absolutely such a thing...more common than not on import guitars...the catch is the incredible amount of glue in the instrument coupled with a lack of human craftmanship and poor quality control...most asian factories turn out a fairly consistent product which is often lacking in many qualities...short cuts and shoddy hardware are also common...yamahas generally have a decent rep, but i prefer other brands in that price range (takamine, seagull)...

Aside from the Seagull S6, do you have any specific models for me to check out. This will be my first guitar purchase, so I'd prefer to stick to the $300 range! Thanks for the input.

  5. Does anyone happen to have Conor Oberst and the MVB's setlist as well?

I don't know the setlist verbatim, but I do know they played 13 songs. I can recall most, just not in the correct order: Die in Hospital, Moab, Ten Woman, Big Black Nothing, Nikorette, Snake Hill, Slowly, Danny Callahan, Souled Out, NYC-Gone, Cape Canaveral and maybe Air Mattress.... I'm missing one, cant recall what it is.. TBH, I'm surprised I remember all of others! Hope this helps.

  6. I wrote up a lengthy review, and then accidently clicked the escape button, which apparently erases everything. So, I think I'll just do some bullets:

-I got there about 3 hrs early to get in line to secure a decent spot. My father and I ended up meeting some really nice people and struck up good conversation that helped the time pass in an unusually quick manner.

-A bit flustered when the gates opened, we ended up on the under twenty-one side. I can't say I care for this type of crowd separation as the crowd dynamic is a bit strange. It seemed to me that the people on our side were more interested in Conor, but that may have just been those folks in my immediate peripheral.

-First off... The sound here was much better than it was in Lowell. The MVB were enjoyable, and as I mentioned the entire crowd seemed more responsive than Lowell (which is my only other previous Wilco experience).

-Wilco were great. The variation in setlist proved to be for the better. I had a great view of Glen this time around, and found his performance to be so incredibly captivating. I was also surprised at Pat's enthusiasm, he was so much more animated at this show then he was when I last them.

-All in all, I had a great time. I was thankful Mother Nature spared us of the heavy rain until we were about a half-hour from home. What a show! I think I've been persuaded to make every effort to catch this band when they tour the North East.

  7. Anyway, do you guys think all of the "Wonderbread" posters were ruined or will they throw them up on the store? I swore to myself to stop buying so many concert posters, but that one was awesome.

I'm wondering the same thing... I'd really like one as a momento of my first Wilco show. Will they sell them at other shows on the tour? If not, I just have to hope they pop up online!

  8. Anywho, we got on the rail, a little left of Nels, and camped out there through Conor Oberst. My thoughts on him? Pure shit. The band has some talent, the music itself sounds good. Conor's voice and lyrics are absolutely horrible. I was just wanting to kill myself. The band looked bored to tears. I thought his bass player was going to puke and Conor and his emo looking guitarist (dude near the piano player) looked fucked up on a lot more than booze and weed. We were betting some H or blow.

wow-- This post is so laden with ignorant speculation (Taylor Hollingsworth being doped up on H or blow) that I feel inclined to comment. I can understand your dislike of Oberst's voice, but to site his lyrics as 'absolutely horrible' seems a bit unjust. I'm thinking you must have been either high/drunk, or I may even bet on some H or Blow because you obviously were not listening. I'd go ahead and check out some of the man's lyrics before criticizing. I’d find it a bit confusing if you confessed to love Tweedy’s lyrics while at the same time finding Oberst’s to be such rubbish… Just my .02…

  9. This was my first Wilco show, and it proved to be worth the wait. My father and I were front row and truly enjoyed ourselves. Conor’s set was wonderful, he played 14 songs, all of which were planned (for those who were wondering whether or not the final song was spontaneous). The man has unbelievable stage presence despite the lack of enthusiasm from the floor crowd. Though, I don’t think that venue really lends itself to his intimate performance…

Wilco were wonderful. My father had never heard them before and left the show in complete awe. He went to the record shop this morning and purchased their entire catalogue. During Spiders Jeff came down and the let the kids standing next to us strum his guitar. He must have been really taken by them as he had a camera guy give them some guitar picks during the first few songs. Other highlights for me included Nothing’severgonnastandinmyway as well as Handshake Drugs. What a show—we’re trying to find tickets for Portland now!
