How about Tears In Heaven? I can barely listen to that song.
Also, I don't consider Everybody Hurts all that sad, I think it has more of a Bridge In Troubled Water type message.

Kinsler is the guy that they absolutely have to lock up long term.

I love Josh, but I would rather sign Prince than keep Josh if it's an either/or proposition (which it undoubtedly is).
I really like Josh Hamilton, but there is so much risk in signing him to a lucrative long-term deal - health or his other issues. Fielder has been very durable so far. To me it is a no-brainer, go with Fielder. Next up is Nelson Cruz. Does he get a superstar salaried long-term deal with his injury issues?

Just curious, is it possible to function well as a vocalist and guitarist if you are 'feeling no pain' on stage?. I have felt pretty good a few times in my life, but not being a musician, I really can't imagine what that would be like.

I love the entire lineup right now and don't want a thing to change, but Wilco could endure with the trio of Tweedy, Stirratt and Kotche if it had to - and still be great.

This is spot-on regarding how R.E.M. has been perceived the past 15 years or so.
"...It's strange how unfairly the love affair between audience and artist can turn sour. In the uphill years, the same things that were once adored—their eccentric individualism, their stubborn lack of glamour, an aura of principle and honor, the eternal Michael Stipe-ness of Michael Stipe—suddenly seemed to count against them. What had once appeared natural and unexpected and effortless was routinely scorned as labored and mannered and calculated. As with any abandoned lover, whatever they did was wrong—failing to change, changing too much; trying too hard, never trying hard enough. And now, into the space they vacate—according to a natural law of pop music and time that is both cruel and wondrous—the love we once felt for them is free to return."

On Born Alone, I really like how Glenn hits the bell sounding thing right after the first guitar break and before the "Tonight I would rather count the warm fuse internally...". It is especially neat to see live.
I like how Tweedy plays bass on It's Just That Simple live.

I think we had to take those sorts of things down. I can't recall exactly.
OK..I see. Well, thanks for the reply. Hopefully some future release will corral officially released stuff from the past like this.

A request....is there any way a lossless version of the More Like the Moon EP could be made available on the WilcoArchive? It is an official release, but it is unavailable for purchase.

Something tells me that NYT writer would have had less than flattering things to say about Wilco, had they won or performed, as well.
