  1. It's not related to an european tour but with Star Wars tour:

A Brazilian newspaper published an article yesterday saying that negotiations with Wilco were advanced but now are on hold, because of the high price of the dollar

    The art of almost :(

  2. Then there were the people shooting video or using flash to take pictures. The latter actually caused an amusing moment of crowd interaction at the end of Hummingbird. Apparently someone up close (I sort of think it was a male and he was on the young side, but don't know for sure) was using flash and Jeff gave him the finger wag and demonstrated that it was blinding. Then I guess this person yelled out something about Wilco coming to Brazil, causing Jeff to say, "At some point, we'll come to Brazil, I promise. Sorry it's taken so long. We've been there...were you at our show?" I guess the person wasn't really understanding that, so Jeff more or less gave up. But he couldn't help throwing one more jab out, adding "I guess you're probably filming us right now, so you have a legal contract." (Was this one of your agents, Mariana?) Anyway, what made this whole interaction especially funny was that while all this was going on, the rest of the band started softly playing a Brazilian bossa nova-like jam. Maybe you had to be there...

OMG! o.O hahahahhaa It must have been amazing... I wish I was there :((((

No, I have no idea who might have been! I hope Jeff don't thought it was me (I never yell at Wilco concerts because I'm afraid he tell me something like "thanks for coming from kansas city now be quiet" hahahaa)

  3. The audio is finally out >> http://pitchfork.com/features/podcasts/9692-a-conversation-with-jeff-tweedy-at-the-museum-of-contemporary-art-chicago/

On July 16, the night before Wilco’s headlining set at the 10th annual Pitchfork Music Festival, Jeff Tweedy sat down for a conversation with Pitchfork Editor-in-Chief Mark Richardson at Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art. The interview kicked off the MCA’s In Sight Out, a collaborative series exploring new perspectives on music, art, and culture, and it came at a pivotal moment for Tweedy and Wilco. It’s been 20 years since the group launched their recording career with 1995’s A.M., so the talk provided an opportunity to discuss their formative years and Chicago’s mid-‘90s music scene, as well as the band’s brand new album, Star Wars, which was actually surprise released as the event was taking place.

*(Sorry for the error in the title, I can't edit :/)

  4. My ~Wilco Star Wars~:

    - Jeff >> Darth Vader
    - Pat >> Obi-Wan Kenobi
    - John >> C3PO
    - Mikael >> R2D2
    - Nels >> Chewie
    - Glenn >> Han Solo

(and Spencer is Luke, obvious) :B
  5. Totally unrelated, but I was listening to a Wilco show yesterday (or maybe Jeff solo? No, it was a Wilco show) and Jeff mentions a fan from Brazil complementing Nels, was it you? I wish I could remember which show (I could figure it out though, by going through my browser history, maybe.)

I think it wasn't me because the only show I went (except Solid Sound 2013) was Miami on May 15, 2012 and Jeff mentioned me before Hummingbird because I asked Glenn to stand on his drums ;) But I'm curious, if you find which show was please let me know! :)

  7. Speedy Ortiz added to Solid Sound 2015

We were disappointed to learn that Taj Mahal is taking a brief hiatus from his current touring obligations to re-charge his health and vitality. We wish The Maestro only the best and look forward to seeing him back on the road very soon.

With that said, we’re thrilled to announce that our Western MA neighbors Speedy Ortiz have been added to our Friday Festival lineup. New York Magazine calls them “electrifying” and Rolling Stone calls their recently released Foil Deer one of 2015’s most irresistable albums. See them Friday as Solid Sound gets cranking.
