  1. Hi haven't been on here in awhile but I have an extra ticket for 12/9 & 12/11 of the winterlude. I'm traveling from detroit was supposed to be with my lady friend but that unfortunately ended so I have an extra for the tuesday & Thursday show. If anyone needs one let me know. Was hoping for the price I paid for the ticket with the service charge.

    Thanks

    Paul

  2. I can't see the gallery on my computer at work. Which albums are left?

  3. Not to be contrary but I actually think the prices on used vinyl are a bit better at Solo Records (Royal Oak) than the Record Exchange (Ferndale). Record Exchange does have a somewhat better selection.

Solo Records is definately worth checking out.

Also to jump on the restaurant thread - you can't go wrong with Bastone, Ronin Sushi, Little Tree Sushi or Cafe Habana. Sangria across the street from the theater has decent tapas.

Also if you are looking for a bar with a good jukebox check out Gusoline Alley (a dive bar) just a short walk from theater.

bastone is goood plus they brew their own beer. also gus' is probably the best bar in royal oak i think today is $3 drafts.

  4. This is very very close now and I couldn't be more excited! Does anyone know what's good for restaurants or shopping down in Royal Oak or if the theatre is even downtown? We've never been.

Also, I believe doors open at 7:30 and I am going to assume Wilco at 8? The last 'Evening with Wilco' show I believe was pretty long (gonna check Wilcobase now!), but anyways since it's GA what time is everyone lining up at?

I'll be with my two pals (guy and girl) and my dad as some of you have met us before, odds are I'll be wearing a Wilco t-shirt, so come say hi! It's always super cool/weird when people from the board meet up. Two days!

cafe habana is a good cuban resturant next to bastone and they serve bastone beer. memphis smoke is decent barbeque resturant.

  5. You have got to be kidding? Have you ever listened to 'A Storm In Heaven', 'Northern Soul', 'No Come Down' (the b-sides album)? Anything other than 'Urban Hymns'? I can understand you not liking them but to say they are the most overrated band of all time is pure ignorance! Nick McCabe is hands down one of the most underrated guitar players of the past 15 years. He creates sonic landscapes not unlike those of Nels Cline. Honestly give the early albums a shot or track down a live show before making a statement like that. Not trying to sound defensive but I hope your comment wasn't made after just hearing a few of the more popular hits. Either way, this is excellent news and I hope a US tour is to follow.

a northern soul is one of my favorite albums of all time.
