  1. What do you guys think of the second half of season three so far? I think the episodes have been relatively weak. Vince became whipped by his agent, Drama bought and lost a horse, and we haven't seen nearly enough of hot-ass Sloan. I hear she and E break up this season. Also, Vince puts on some weight to play Senor Escobar in Medillin. I think it will get better as the season goes on.

i thought the last few were pretty weak but this past episode was good. we need some more lloyd.

  2. this is pretty cool ernie harwell to fill in for rod allen.

    Harwell to pinch-hit on broadcast

Former announcer will return as guest television analyst

    By Jason Beck / MLB.com

DETROIT -- Hall of Fame broadcaster Ernie Harwell has a pinch-hit appearance coming up. The longtime voice of the Tigers will return to the broadcast booth as a guest television analyst on Thursday, May 24, when the Tigers take on the Angels at 1:05 p.m. ET at Comerica Park.

Harwell will join play-by-play man Mario Impemba on the FSN Detroit telecast while Rod Allen attends the high school graduation of his son, Andrew.

"It's going to be a big kick for me," the 89-year-old Harwell said. "It's just sort of fun to get my feet wet."

Harwell was a guest on radio and television last October during the Tigers' run through the playoffs. He also was behind the microphone for a spell when the All-Star Game came to Comerica Park in 2005. This will be his first full-game call on FSN Detroit since June 1, 2003, when the Tigers came back against Roger Clemens and played 17 innings in a loss to the Yankees. It remains the longest game in Comerica Park history.

Harwell broadcasted Tigers games for 42 years before retiring at the end of the 2002 season. He received the Ford C. Frick Award from the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1981.

FSN Detroit will air the game live, followed by an encore presentation that night at 7 p.m. ET.

  3. Mike Myers owes everyone an apology.

    :worship :rotfl :cheers

Sheff seems to be heating up. Good thing -- I recognize that it was still early, but he didn't really do a whole lot after he came back from injury last season, and seeing as he's 38 or 39 or something now, I wasn't convinced that he wasn't pretty much done. He still may be, but hopefully his play in the last week will be more indicative of how the rest of the season will be than the previous several.

i didn't know that sheffied was such the basestealer

  4. my lions ticket represenative called asking if we were renewing our tickets this year. i asked him who the lions were drafting he said he did not know. i told him we would not be renewing our tickets. to the two people on the waiting list who get my tickets i'm sorry but all hope is lost, good luck.

  5. I wonder how many more starts Chad Durbin gets before we see Zach Miner. Only 1 run given up so far today, but this is the first time this year he's made it through the 3rd having given up less than 4. So...yeah, I don't have much confidence.

durbin looked pretty good last night despite the two home runs. the first one he gave up the guy next to me started yellinmg to yank him and i told him that was the first hit he gave up. the guy just continued to be little durbin. i do think that they probably will end up bringing up miner sooner then later though.

  6. Rick Carlisle has been fucked with all of his recent jobs. He did a spectacular job in Detroit. He left because they had the opportunity to get one of the best coaches ever in Larry Brown. Yeah, it bums me out when the Pistons lose to a Carlisle-led Pacers, but I have nothing but respect for him. He did a fantastic job in Detroit, and he went to Indiana with a very talented team that could have gone somewhere if their personalities were not so antithetical to getting the most out of their talents. The Pacers are in a hole now -- they went from one of the best teams in the east to middling at best -- but I still think that Rick Carlisle is a smart and talented coach. I hope he can get out of Indiana soon and get somewhere where his skills as a coach will win him a championship. He deserves it.

couldn't agree with you more carlisle definitly got the shaft when he coached detroit.

  7. Who opened the show at the Fox? I can't really picture them playing there. I saw Iggy solo at the State, and that was weird enough with him humping all the statues and stuff. The Fox is way too ornate. Was that a seated show? I can't imagine that they would have pulled the seats out of the Fox, but at the same time, a seated Stooges show seems wrong.

powertrane opened. yes it was seated. yes iggy humped things. everyone stood the whole show despite the seats and the sound was pretty good.
