  1. Wow what a beautiful story...I can totally understand that happening. "Dock, your pitching today." :blink I say good on him for describing it. So, sad he didn't get the liver transplant he needed. On a side note, I lived in Sarasota and the spring training days and parties were legendary. I recall several nights of "enhanced" star gazing and swimming :pirate

  2. OK. I've scanned the tube on this thing for a news cycle. I was somewhat aware of the troubles of this guy, but if the allegations turn out to be true... it's truly a mind blower. Is it a case of gargantuan-sized cojones, bat-shit insanity, or both?

Well, MB, here is a blog about this guys astrology that seems to answer your question. :pirate

fascinating stuff: "His faith in himself as well as his sense of personal protection from harm is often so ingrained that he may be willing and eager to attempt anything, disregarding impossible odds, in order to fulfill his goals and objectives."

Of course I think Louie B summed it up with the Daley's using power vs money. It seems to me that the union/power thing has always been the "way it works" in Chicago. (Which is my current favorite city to visit by the way!) I remember there always being roads under construction even if they had just been redone being explained as "political pay back for the unions" during the 80's in Chicago.

  5. I don't know how y'all handle the winters up there.

When I lived there it was all about hats and scarfs and the right socks....some of us have a little problem with the amount of hats :stunned. I loved living in Chicago and couldn't agree more with the statement of people being comfortable with who they are. Nice article thanks for the post.

  6. pneyu thank you for the setlist...it was my first time seeing the singers and wow what a lesson in experimental music history. Feel like I've "been somewhere" . Took a young muscian friend from work and he was thrilled with Nels...and his friends from Deerhoof. Add to that an Eric McFadden sighting :thumbup Well I guess we all know I think Nels keeps great company :worship
