  1. I think the curfew thing is a little overblown. First, curfews are common and known well in advance. The band could have set an earlier start if they wanted. Second, I went back and looked at the posts after the 09 Wilco concert at Wolftrap. The very first post includes this: "The 11:00 curfew cut this one short, as they seemed to scramble to get equipped to play Wheel. If anyone saw the setlist, what songs did they cut out?" By my rough and quick count, the number of songs at both shows seem about the same (give or take a song). I think we might be giving too much weigh to Jeff Tweedy's
  2. I've been to numerous shows at Wolftrap and it has a very firm 11:00 pm curfew. Last night, Lee started at 8:00 sharp and ended, by my watch, at 8:32. Wilco then started at 8:58. I suspect that if the band is concerned about time and wants to get in another song or two, it will start a few minutes earlier. I was not watching super close but it looked to me like the stage was set and ready to go by 8:50.
  3. I have one extra ticket to the July 17 concert at Wolftrap. I purchased the tickets through the band's adavance sale. Row B, seat 47 (a word of caution when your eyes light up at "row B," if you look at the seating chart, you will notice that this is way to stage left, it is not in the center). WIlling to sell for $40 which is face value. If you are interested, please email me (doctoroflaws@gmail.com).
  4. Fair enough. When listening to a stream online like I did a few times for this album I think I tend to forget how long (or short) a song is. Only when it is on my iPod do I notice song lengths since the times are on the screen in front of me.
  5. Like others, loved the poster. There were some differences in the group I went with but I loved Art of Almost. Just a huge, elemental song. In the pit upfront you could feel the bass just rumble through you. Very cool. I do wonder if it would be better as the last song before the encore. A very different song was One Sunday Morning. A lovely, beautiful song that the band extended into 13 minutes (according to a friend of mine, your mileage may vary). I could see it becoming a regular in the set list for the next several years.
  6. I have one extra ticket for the "general admission" area at Sunday's concert. At MPP, the GA area is right in front of the stage. So you will be anywhere from 10 to 40 feet from the band (depending on how early you enter and how aggressive you are at pushing through the crowd). Because I purchased these through the Wilco pre-sale I have to pick the ticket up at the box office on Sunday (this means you have to meet me at the venue on Sunday evening with cash in hand). Cost, which is face value, is $45. Email me at doctoroflaws@gmail.com if interested.
