  1. Close to home here too - my wife's 5 months along (our first) and her closest friend (also an Office fan) delivered her first earlier in the day yesterday. Not the funniest episode, but good stuff.
  2. Dear Perry, Bury Jane's. Thanks in advance.
  3. Finally! This is great to hear - love the album and can only imagine what the accompanying Lynch book will add to it.
  4. Speaking of - it's 2 "n"s, friendo.
  5. I think The Aviator is Scorsese's best '00s film and I fast-forwarded through the last 30 minutes of Million Dollar Baby. I think Rachel Getting Married was overindulgent and repellent but I still liked it, and anyone who doesn't want the great Bill Irwin to be allowed to work again has a screw loose! You heard me Napalm! And that scene from Havoc is awesome. And Kevin Spacey should be awarded another Oscar every single year for American Beauty.
  6. That's pretty funny, but it is a great movie.
  7. Who needs the Stones? http://theselvedgeyard.wordpress.com/2009/08/13/keith-richards-gram-parsons-1971-summer-in-exile-villa-nellcote/
  8. That one's good, but to me it's just a prologue to Toy Story 2.
  9. Uncle Salty's Amazing Big 10-Inch Gun Strikes Back
  10. Ha - I remember that now. Thought the same thing. Gotta check out that article. I'll bet Meadow Soprano is mentioned. Also, we got this shirt (not the baby) in the mail from a friend last night, a pre-natal gift:
  11. RainDogToo we never hear your thoughts!
  12. It's interesting (I'm watching/listening to the live stream from CNN) from a voyeuristic perspective, but it also (shock!) seems to be chock full of grandstanding on both sides.
  13. Curling is never broadcast on NBC, which sucks for me, someone without cable.
  14. I'll be goddamned if I'm gonna choose a Protestant whiskey over a Catholic one.
  15. I didn't like Thank You For Smoking. And I kind of liked Juno, but I give Diablo Cody props on that one. Reitman's a hack.
  16. I've been trying to think of that show's title! PBS! Saturday nights? The first review I recall: Halloween. They showed the clip of Michael Myers walking across the front of the neighbors' house, carrying a body. I didn't sleep that night.
  17. Yeah, the longer I sit with it, the more I dislike this movie (perhaps a bit unfairly, because I know it's partly due to the accolades its received).
  18. Yeah, David Thorpe. That guy is funny.
  19. Yes! Wait - but that was that columnist from Boston, right?
  20. I'm just confused by the video game titles getting in the way of the punchlines. Not very Onion-y. I don't give a shit about Wilco being the butt of jokes, because funny is funny. And this is not really funny.
