    as it turns out there is a 1 hr. difference between Lexington time and Chicago time so i was able to sweat about getting my morning jacket tickets, then sweat about the jeff tickets. :lol

     

    this should be a fantastic weekend! :dancing

    i was shopping for q-tips in the baby-needs aisle when i noticed that there was a display of creme eggs there.

     

    cadbury creme eggs. baby needs. natalie, if ever. :)

     

    also listening to the new decemberists album now. want to tell nat they were clearly "feeling ND" when they recorded it. :love

    i was just coming into this thread today b/c i was missing natalie. i heard a new song by the Decemberists this morning and was wondering what nat's opinion of it would be. she was clear in her opinion of "crane wife". :lol

    Yup. Sucks. Possibly the best new show on TV this fall, and it was never given a chance.

     

    I was hoping that its placement on FX would insulate it from concerns about ratings, but I guess even the basic cable channels expect people to watch their original series.

    i was disappointed about "terriers" being cancelled, too. such a great role for Donal Logue. (loved your comments about his acting a few pages ago, crypt!)

     

    network tv is such a weird animal these days. they're all trying to figure out how to do things now that the game is so different than it used to be. :hmm

    one year my mom gave my brother, sister and i identical gifts. she was really excited about the gifts and i was under instruction to call her as soon as i opened it. turned out to be a hand painted ceramic cast of Jesus on the cross about 11" tall and on the gory side.

     

    i'm an atheist.

     

    when i explained that to my mom she replied, "Oh. But you believe in God, right?" :ermm

    the cool thing about that clip is that it is edited work-print film, not cut negative. the work print is marked with grease pencil for the negative cutter. before each edit there is a ramping mark that indicates an edit is coming. in one spot there is a pencil mark in the middle of a shot. that indicates an "unintentional edit." could be that the shot was extended after it has been initially cut or that it was a mistake. the mark (which is an = made across the edit) indicates to the negative cutter not to cut the negative at that frame.
