Do you think an Obama-Sebilius ticket could swing it? -

The Federalist Papers are only written by three of the framers (James Madison, Alexander Hamilton and John Jay). And the point of the Federalist Papers generally focused on other areas of the Constitution in their attempts to sway people to support its adoption. Hamilton was actually opposed to the Bill of Rights, so he certainly wasn't on board for the First Amendment itself (although his objections were actually because he felt that the inclusion a Bill of Rights would eventually lead to the exclusion of other rights not innumerated). The actual term "Separation of Church and State" come -

I don't mind teaching about holidays, but I don't think that any particular ones should be promoted or celebrated necessarily. And I object to non-denominational prayer too because, well, there are athiests in public schools too, as well as people of other religions who will inevitably be excluded even in instances where attempts are made not to cater to any one religion. And organized prayer may as well be mandatory among smaller children -- they'll feel compelled to just to fit in, even if they aren't officially forced into anything. -

I don't care if a kid wants to pray on his own at his desk in school or whatever. I don't think that that's ever really been an issue in the public debate either (though I acknowledge I could be wrong about that). I do however take strong issue with anything organized by teachers, coaches, principles, etc., even if it is non-denominational. -

I don't know, man, Shaq was only like 18 years old.

Wilco invented the verb "to walk".

I'm pretty disappointed with the festival this year. The lineup isn't nearly as deep as last year, and the few bands that I am excited about are all going up against each other. Terrible. And I, for one, am having trouble deciding between Wilco and Rage. I was never a huge Rage fan, but always liked them, have heard they were great live, and have never seen them (though I did have a ticket for the Rage/Beasties/ATDI tour that got cancelled). On the other hand, I've seen Wilco quite a few times, and my enthusiasm for them has waned considerably. However, for a long time they were one of

Oh cool, I'd only seen a couple of those before and actually had been looking for a while for some pictures of some more. Thanks for linking that. Still only seen a handful of them now though. I wonder why pictures from that promotion are so hard to find. Considering it was leaguewide, I'm surprised there aren't more, thought I completely understand why MLB isn't putting them out there. It was an interesting idea that was executed absolutely horribly.

Rumored trade: Griffey to Tampa. Two consecutive sweeps for the Tigers!

I saw them a couple months back and I agree. Good show. The drummer is fantastic.

Shocking.

I'm not trying to win anything, just trying to debate some points. If you hadn't quoted my post, I wouldn't have even been able to tell you were responding to me. -

I certainly didn't say that. But she didn't kick his ass. That's just false. She did win more of the later states than he did, but barely. Also, again, if you look at which states she won, most are states that neither of them would win in the general election. Also, a lot of that was due to strategy as well -- the states where that he focused most of his campaign on happened to fall earlier. Also, Hillary's popularity is not necessarily an indication that Obama has a big problem with Democrats. A lot of polling showed that Democrats in general were happy with the slate of cand -
