No it's not!
I like that button, but it just takes you to the last unread post in a certain thread. The old "view new posts" link took you to a list of every thread, forum-wide, that had new posts in it.

I love him - always have, always will. I grew up listening to Thriller, and stood in line some years later to buy the HIStory album on the day of its release. Not sure we'll ever see another performer as talented and special as he was. RIP, Michael.

I think this board looks alright; my biggest complaint is that my beloved "View new posts" option is gone.

James also revealed that he's in the beginning stages of working on a full length solo record, but it's still coming to fruition. "It's not planned or mapped out; I'm just kind of setting up a home studio and star ting to get into that again. Sit around by myself and play stuff. I think that's in the works but it's hard to say when."
Awesome. I have a feeling I'm going to like that more than I like My Morning Jacket.

How about, "the roof of Abbey Road studios"? Isn't that where they played?
And I think your above statement was the figurative definition of "nitpick". Actual nitpicking is whole other matter which is no fun.
As OTM and gogo have stated - no, that isn't where they played.
Abbey Road studios:
3 Savile Row (Apple HQ), site of the rooftop concert:
Beatles 101.
-
Yes, I have been saying that off and on for years.
The White Stripes board has a pretty extensive FAQ, and it's very handy. I'm just sayin'...
I'm jealous of the people who saw the Beatles play on the roof at Abbey Road, but to resent any of them would be retarded.
I don't mean to nitpick, but they did not play on the roof at Abbey Road.

Shit, you're right. Thanks, man.

Off topic, but did you already get yours in the mail? Still waiting for mine...

I sat during "Side With The Seeds" in Cincy and every other time I've heard it.
I sat during Impossible Germany (and did in Knoxville, too).
-
Oh. Well at least I got the color right.
Mine is this one, but with short sleeves:
Here's the owl:
Both are cute!!
-
I think that's the one ESue bought in Knoxville.
Almost, but mine has a hummingbird on it (I think...it's definitely not an owl, anyway).

i so wish the shirt said Wilco (the shirt) would have been an instant buy
I just noticed that now it DOES say "Wilco (the shirt)".

I did some digging and found this on some dude's blog:
Wilco at Bonnaroo, Manchester, Tenn., June 13, 2009
Wilco (The Song) / I Am Trying to Break Your Heart / Company on My Back / Handshake Drugs / Blue Black Nova / You Are My Face / One Wing / Pot Kettle Black / Side with the Seeds / Shot in the Arm / At Least That’s What You Said / Jesus, Etc. / Impossible Germany (for Kelly) / California Stars / Misunderstood (32 “nothings” at the end) / Spiders (Kidsmoke) (with cameraman strumming Jeff’s guitar, huge build) / Hummingbird / You Never Know / The Late Greats / Hate It Here / Walken / I’m the Man Who Loves You
Almost identical to the Cincinnati setlist.

Thanks for posting that.
-
I think that's awesome.

This show is tonight! It sure would be nice to see any Cincy-area VCers there...
-
I need this. Hope it's on sale at the Cincy show!

I can't wait to see all of you again (and some of you for the first time)! Two of my friends from Lexington are going to this show, and I don't know if I'm riding up with them or driving alone. If I get there in time I will definitely hang out at Nicholson's.
BTW, I've seen the Heartless Bastards and have zero interest in seeing them again.

I want to invite the Avett Brothers to my front porch for a few beers and strawberry pie. They seem like such nice guys!
They ARE nice guys, and I'm sure some front-porch sitting and strawberry pie-eating would be right up their alley! Can I come?

Yay, happy birthday!!

Testing...I've got to make sure Jack White looks good on this board. This is like VC from the future!

I still dislike it, don't worry. It hasn't grown on me yet. Country through I'll Fight are the worst three running tracks in the Wilco catalogue, hands down.
I'm kinda with you. I like Wilco the Song, Bull Black Nova, and maybe Country Disappeared. That's about it.

I went to the first night of the Portland shows on Friday. I really had no idea how fucking amazing these guys are, especially live. I have Emotionalism which I really really like, but I was completely floored. It was one of those shows when you suddenly have a warm feeling in your heart, look around the room and notice that everyone is having the best time EVER, and you just soak all the goodness that great music does to your soul. I havent experienced that for a really long time, maybe not since the Wilco shows at Otto's when Jeff just came out of rehab, or maybe the Wilco show at Iriving Plaza around the same time. They are one of the best shows out there right now. I am mildly obsessed at the moment
Glad you had fun!!

I finished Summerteeth and have moved on to Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. Thought I'd post this here as a little tribute:
(from Glorious Noise)
The Jay Bennett track-by-track listing of instruments played on YHF
Wilco chat rooms and bulletin boards (not to mention more legitimate music news sources) have been abuzz with rumors that Jay didn't actually play that much on Yankee Hotel Foxtrot.
