Can't really say I got an explanation. It was from the label, not Wilco. I didn't really ask many questions, just complied because I'm happy to follow whatever their wishes were. I have to admit I was pretty surprised considering their previous stance on live trading. It's quite possible the band doesn't even know that I was asked to take them down.

That was fucking amazing. Pardon my french but the expletive is completely necessary. I've never seen them rock Spiders that hard in the shows I've been to. Glenn and Nels were just WAILING away. I liked that more than Poor Places --> Spiders. Just magical.
One of the best live Wilco moments I've witnessed. It was something so different for them, really could see and hear them experimenting. Very cool. I just got back home to Wisconsin. I put up a review of sorts - reading the comments, looks like everyone saw/felt the same. Some commentators complained about the sound, particularly the drums. I didn't notice myself.

Where have these guys been hiding? Or have I just missed it? A good band from Florida? What does that make? 3?
Thank you for this recommendation. It reminds me of Son Volt.

Oh frig, another Cdbaby order to put in.
This rocks, acoustically:
Been going back and forth with Sam Parton on Myspace and she seems to both really like them and guest on the album.
Very nice. Thanks

I think there are a few Great Lake Swimmer fans in these parts. If not, I can definitely recommend their records. They have a new one coming out next year. If you're familiar, you're probably excited. If you're not, you can check out my blog for a few MP3's.

Fans of Sufjan will want to check this record out. He produced the record and definitely shows his influence/direction.

Let this be my annual reminder that we can all be something bigger
My friend and I always talk about getting some hold steady lyrics tattooed - we're just to chicken to do it.

Cory Chisel & the wandering sons - again from the beginning
how have i never heard these guys before. from appleton, wi (near green bay). reminds me a bit of langhorne slim. fantastic stuff
Nice - yeah, he's the real deal.

yeah it is... not in my top 5 just yet, but loving the hell out of it. not sure why i didn't really dig it when it first leaked earlier this summer.
Probably because their last record and tour they focused on being out there and absolutely shock rock. Now they're interested in being a band, and it shows on their new record.

All those that weren't initially pleased with the new My Morning Jacket please spend one week with it. Listen to it all the way through, every day. Let's come back and discuss. You can't use the excuse that you already gave it a fair shot. This is my plea to those that sound like my former self with respect to this record. Enjoy.

how does this compare to 12 Bar Blues?
Terrible. Truly awful. I liked 12 Bar Blues too FWIW

I find that really hard to believe....Guess we'll have to wait and see.
I would be shocked/surprised if the event is held outdoors. I was outside for 5 mins this morning and hated every second.

though it was released last year, American Hearts is probably the album I've listened to the most this year.

The Death Set "Worldwide" one of my favs for this year, pretty nuts live.
love that cover art!
hook up?
-
even the schizophrenic nature doesn't bother me, but where oh where have all the hooks gone man??
they are in the first 4 songs, but that's about it.
i do have to admit that Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer? is a damn near perfect record.

You should listen to the last track.
