i had to sneakily buy tickets while in my boss's staff meeting...thank god for wireless networks
Good lord, that must have been nervewracking! Were you on a phone or laptop?
I am now realizing that I'm going to have to try for the Philly general onsale from an iPhone from the beach in Mexico. (It's a rough life...) Is it going to work or do I need a backup plan? It looks like it's being handled by Ticketmaster.

had a feeling you might ask that after I saw that you are bringing the kidlets
Im 6'1"
But hey we can work it out!
Heh - I wasn't even thinking about them! It's all good!
I just hope, for the sake of rock 'n roll, that it's not a sit 'n clap show...
-
I'm gonna go take a nap now.
It is exhausting/exhilarating. I feel like I need a hug.

scroll down to the orch layout
center orch section
you are 10th row on the right aisle
actually you are right behind me Im row E seat 211
I got a single (I will be there for business and just decided to grab a ticket)
Sweet! How tall are you?
-
section D looks to be the third section from the bottom on that page. looks to be the middle section after the pit up front. for what its worth-- that is the worst seating chart of all time. why wouldn't they have a diagram of the floor plan?
i think this may be more helpful: http://intl.ticketseating.com/maps/450w/3144-mortensen-hall-bushnell-theatre-end-stage.jpg
Now I get it! Thanks! So, 6th row center behind the pit? I can totally handle that. I always get so lucky with seats on the aisle. Sweet. We will be bringing my 10 and 15 year old nephews.
Having Wilco shows to look forward to is one of my favorite parts life.

God, I need a smoke after all that.
Hartford tickets were up at 9:58 and I got 4 but I can't understand where they are. They say Orchestra Level, Presale Section D, Row F, 209-212. But looking at the seating chart, I can't place that:
Also got 2 GA for Montclair Saturday. No luck with Philly.
Whoo! Whoowhoo!

here we go...
How silly is it that I'm shaking a little bit?
-
OK. I'm all logged in, I stretched, my F5 button works, I have a credit card and a plan: Hartford, Montclair, Philly. The only thing that can stop me now is if someone comes to my office right at 10:00 (or shortly before or after...).
Let's do this thing!
Good luck to all of you!

What you do is have several accounts...
Open them all before the start,
each window (account) for each show you'd like to see...
First I try for the show I wanted the most, then the next...
Oh my god, I get flustered enough with just one window and one account and one password to remember. This scenario makes my heart race.
Why can't I find anything on Front Gate about Wilco? Does anyone know if the presale is internet only or by phone as well?
-
And where's the official Wilcoworld HQ Email?
Anyone get one?
I was wondering the same thing! Twitter told me. Is this Wilco 2.0, eschewing the antiquated technology of email?
-
It so is not wrong.
Thank you for the validation. I knew I came to the right place.
I'm really happy about this. But now I've got the Wilco ticketing frenzy going on in my mind. Wilcketing makes me so nervous. And especially this time - all the shows I want go on sale at the same time. What to do, what to do! Any thoughts on strategy?

APR-02 MONTCLAIR, NJ THE WELLMONT THEATRE
APR-03 MONTCLAIR, NJ THE WELLMONT THEATRE
APR-04 PROVIDENCE, RI LUPO'S HEARTBREAK HOTEL
APR-06 BOSTON, MA ORPHEUM THEATRE
APR-07 CONCORD, NH CAPITOL CENTER
APR-09 HARTFORD, CT BUSHNELL PAC: BELDING THEATRE
APR-10 PHILADELPHIA, PA ELECTRIC FACTORY
I hope to attend at least all of these!!!! Is that wrong? OK, at least 3-4 of them. Oh. Man. I just yesterday asked my husband, wistfully, when we would get to see them again. And here they come. They are so attentive to my needs.

Actually a Shubert Theater residency in New Haven would be even better.
Yeah you right!
-
MSG is terrible though.
In what way? I just know they put on a great NYE party there in '04! One of the funnest, blissest nights of my life.
-
Or plan a crazy road trip
I'm hopeful for some late winter/early spring dates, though. It seems like it's been awhile since they've hit a lot of the major northeast cities, so I'm sure they're going to next time around.
I like the way you think! I had been formulating a Columbus plan but in the end I couldn't really justify giving up two vacation days to go to Ohio.
I think you're right about later NE dates - maybe a makeup date for the Boston area rainout, maybe NYE at MSG? I will be patient. I just always like having a Wilco show to look forward to!
-
I think we've gotten all the Wilco on the east coast that we're going to in 2009.
A girl can dream...
-
I was hoping for the same thing and September is wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide open. Come east, young men!

There's a clip on the soundtrack page on Amazon. Someone can probably figure it out from that.
I synced them up last night - the soundtrack version and the Tanglewood version - it's the same track, just with the audience singalong lifted.
-
Didn't someone say it was from the Tanglewood gig that was in the Roadcase for a while?
It matches up with the Tanglewood track - must be, except I don't hear myself!
-
That's Columbus, Ohio on Columbus Day. I gotta do it.
-
Anyone know anything about the Columbus, OH venue that would talk me into or out of booking a flight?

Spin
in Just A Fan
Anytime, can't wait for this to hit stands myself as I let my Spin subscription lapse eons ago.
It hit. I got it. I almost got both of the copies that were there, but I decided to leave one on the off chance that there's another Wilco fan in my town.
I haven't opened it yet cause I'm still "working."

2/25/05 HOB Cleveland
Yeah you right! Forgot about that one. Staring at John's shoes all night. Thanks for the memories, CMF, and for upping my total!
