  1. So, I know i'm a few years late on this one but i need some help. I just now remembered that Sunken Treasure Live has bonus material that my old computer couldn't access due to its lack of a DVD drive. But now my vista laptop has a dvd drive and I'm having trouble changing the preferences on the Quicktime to get theese bonus materials.

Does any one remember how to do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  2. I'm pretty psyched.

This first song is gonna be pretty much all me; and I have another one that will be mostly me, too. But, as it goes, I'll be doing lots of different sessions in lots of different studios all over Chicago and wherever. They're also gonna cover lots of different styles.

I'm hoping to get it all done and mixed by the end of the year or early '09 for a mid-'09 release. Whatever. Still, it's been a long time since I've been excited about playing music, so this is nice. Next month I'm heading down to Champaign to recerd one of my old punk songs with a buddy's metal band backing me up. Should be cool.

But, if any of you play an instrument, please let me know, becasue I need all sorts of musicians in all sorts of styles to help me cover the bases: rockabilly, bluegrass, pop, electronica, and probably more before it's all done.

Well, back to the original topic of the post: I'm psyched.

Who are you planning on recording with in Champaign? I happen to know a studio owner / Engineer who is a fantastic engineer and person in general.

  3. Unfortunately NBC only has four of the episodes up on their website, and hasn't announce a when the new season starts. I haven't been this excited about a show in a long time, the comedy, action, and drama is the perfect blend!

Besides Yvonne Strahovsky is a total babe!

  4. :yes Yeah - it may not be original, but if you're gonna steal, steal from the best. :thumbup

I know Poon and others mentioned Gilmour, but I've always been of the opinion that Dave's solo on "Time" might just be the most perfectly recorded solo ever. I always get this image of him standing in an open field, with stacks of amps as big as skyscrapers just blasting the sounds for miles and miles.

Or at least in the ruins of Pompeii! :dancing

  5. I don't think this hurts their chances. I think McCain would love to get even a little bit of the press they have right now. Both Obama and Clinton have out fundraised him in recent months.

The last thing McCain needs now is alot of press, now that he has the GOP nom in the bag he has the next few months to plan out his general election campaign. Also, though Obama and Clinton have out fund raised him in recent months, most of that money has gone to battling eachother. Like others have said McCain is laying low and preparing, while Clinton and Obama go head-to-head, polarizing the democratic party, and giving McCain plenty of material to work with later.

  6. I've only ever really used Bit Torrent to get boots of WILCO shows, so my first question is, do people use it to download albums often?

Another thing, My understanding is that downloading Wilco boots is legal (or at least Wilco doesn't mind.) So i guess my big question is why should I someone who rarely uses an application for (seemingly) legal reasons be punished (by having it tinkered with by ISP's) because other people use the same program to pirate legally copyrighted materials?

Im on a college campus so i don't know if comcast or any throttling applies to me, but all i do know is that it took me five days to download one residency show. :ohwell

p.s. thanks Analogman for all the interesting articles!

  7. I really enjoyed the lyrics until the twist at the end. I was totally diggin the in your face sentiments, they were strong and powerful, and then the narrator totally reverses it... not quite so strong and powerful. Sweetl tune though! :dancing

  8. Just curious... But do any of the great folks working on this potentially fantastic compelation have an estimated time of arrival for the release? I've been looking forward to it for a while!

Keep up the good work! :thumbup

  9. no credit card brah

    next question?

on a sidenote,id be more than willing to offer something in return for it.

I doubt many people here would be willing to give it up, even for something in exchange.

But take it from me (and I'm as cheap as the next guy :blush ) it's very worth going out and buying, even if you have to order it from a local store. Not only do you get the actual dvd, but another disc with as many awesome bonus clips (that an online vid probably wouldn't have) as they could fit on it.

I had to order it and wait a rediculous amount of time before it came in... Totally worth it!
