anyways, only one i could think of that hadn't been done yet.

I always want to say, "Wilco is what rock music should sound like." But then I remember what I usually think of as rock (and what my friends think of as rock) and then I realize, Wilco is nothing like that. Labels are tricky, Cuz Wilco isn't really what some think of as Rock. But I hate the label "Alternative."

Had a proffessor once who always wanted to know what Alternative music was. Someone would tell him it was like Rock only different. He would then explain his confusion. "Rock music is a singer, two guitarists, a bass player and a drummer, and then Alternative music is a singer, two guitarists, a bass player, AND a drummer."

anyways, now whenever someone asks me what kind of music wilco is i just reply, "the good kind."

It's all those people who tuned in to see Wilco on SNL and got to see the surprise HRC visit. It's all Jeff's fault!

Apparently Jeff's Obama button wasn't enough to counteract the Hilary cameo...

I really appreciate you posting these vids Hixter, But i cant get it to play in any of my video softwares ( quicktime, wmp, real player, or DIVX ) to play these files, and usually they do fine with AVI's. I tried the software you suggested but I cannot access the site.

Any other suggestions?

Could anyone perhaps convert this file to one thats more universal (or point me to where I could?)

Does anyone have any images of the Residency Posters? I saw some small jpgs at ebay, but i'd like to find some bigger images.

How is that banter compilation coming along anywayz? The last entry was the end of january.

I always thought it was their best song to end a record (Late Greats is a close second). I thought it was so cool when i saw they ended the residency with it.

Ive been downloading the 2 15 08 Boot for the past day and its only got 10%!!! Is it this slow for everyone, or does the fact that I'm on a college campus make a difference. I can understand bandwith limmiting, but im lucky if i get 1kb/s over here!!!!

This whole residency thing has had me thinking about the sequencing of songs in the half dozen wilco shows I have seen and the dozens of shows I have in recorded form. My favorite opening song seen live would have to be Hell Is Chrome with the lone spot on jeff's face and the rest of the band coming in at "it was chrome". That song never connected with me until I saw it live, now it still is one of my favorites. I also always enjoy misunderstood as the opener. Anyone else have any thoughts.

I totally agree!!! Wilco was my first rock concert and Hell Is Chrome was the opening song. Amazing!!!!!

Is the eclectic show only in chicago, or is it webcasted also?
