  1. I feel like I should respond to this with some kind of perverted joke but I can't think of any good ones that would involve rats, Paris and the tension that might be building about what could possibly happen at the end of a second date. Then again, I've never been to Paris.

....and you have no idea about what could possibly happen at the end of a second date, either, right?

I love a good perverted joke, too.

  2. I saw this on Tuesday evening and although I thought the story was just meh, the animation was true eye-candy. The way Pixar keeps advancing the technology is amazing. For instance, there are close-ups of the rats' fur and street shots of Paris that you would swear are real. Very well done.

It made for a great second date movie, too.

  3. i was just thinking of that as i was organizing...

    Funny shit, eh?

    How did the re-org go?

Yess!!!! I was just thinking about watching that again....

by the way, I love your avatar.

Thanks. You can actually download several different versions of a Schrute buck if you google and look around. I also managed to find Dwight's wanted poster from when there was a flasher.

  4. i would do it now, but we went to ikea a bought a shelf we have to put together THEN we have to alphabetize our vinyl to put on it.

Dick: I guess it looks as if you're reorganizing your records. What is this though? Chronological?

    Rob: No...

    Dick: Not alphabetical...

    Rob: Nope...

    Dick: What?

    Rob: Autobiographical.

    Dick: No fucking way.

  5. Thank you!

Incidentally, I found the thread by way of your profile. (That Shrutebuck made me click!)

You're welcome. I actually forgot to listen this past Wednesday. I guess between listeming to the Merriweather show and the new Cash 'cast, I have a full weekend.

    :cheers

  6. I agree. I have been lucky enough to see Wilco in all kinds of venues and have great seats/location to see them. But sitting half way back in the pavilion with the quiet sound system kind of felt blah to me. Luckily we decided to move because I was actually thinking of leaving early. So you can have a great time at Merriweather, but you better be close.

I've been lucky enough to see Wilco in all kinds of venues now, too. But, I was sitting in Row V, a little less than halfway up, close to the center aisle and I thought the sound was good. Crisp, clear, and loud.

  7. I sent everyone a text message on the big screen. I said something like "Hello to all VC'ers - luv dcd". Did anybody catch it?

I think out of all the Wilco shows I've been to, this is the first time I ever heard Kamera.

I am in love with The Wilco all over again. :wub

    Great show! Spiders was amazing!!!!11!!!

  8. I remember leaving GMU on a weekday evening to see M. Ward, The Shins, and the White Stripes about a year and a half ago, and for some freakish reason, 495 Eastbound was clear as the sky blue sky.

I'll be at the show tonight; I hope there's plenty of people-in-the-lawn-based banter again!

What time did you leave to get there last time?

  9. I'm driving from Fairfax, where I work. I'm getting out around 2 p.m., plan to be on the road by 2:30 p.m.

Anyway, for Mapquest purposes, is anyone else using 10475 Little Patuxent Parkway Columbia, MD as the destination address? I did a Google search and this came up.

Also, just for anyone else in the area, I found these directions on Merriweather's website:

From the Washington DC area and points South: Take DC Beltway 495 to I-95 North towards Baltimore. Proceed 16.2 miles. Merge onto MD-32 West exit 38B toward Columbia. Exit onto Rt. 29 North, exit 16A. Take the Broken Land Parkway North exit towards Merriweather. Do not take the Broken Land Parkway exit you see earlier while on MD-32 West. Merge onto Broken Land Parkway. Turn right at first stoplight into Main Parking Area.

Alternate route from the Washington DC area: Take DC Beltway 495 to I-95 North towards Baltimore. Pass exit 38B, go two more exits. Exit onto Route 100 West. Proceed to Route 29 South. Turn right onto South Entrance Road. Turn left onto Symphony Woods Road. Follow to Main Parking Area.

    anyway,

  10. When I was in Thee Mighty Caesars we did a rip-off of the sleeve for an album called John Lennon's Corpse Revisited, featuring the Beatles' heads on stakes. This isn't the greatest album ever made; in fact, it's the worst Beatles album up to that point. Live at the Star Club trounces it with ease.

This moron can go f*ck himself. WTF is that shit? I guess the shock value might have worked for them... how punk rock of them.

He can think anything he wants about Sgt. Pepper, but that shit sucks.

  11. I know there are other fans of the Man in Black around here, so I thought y'all might like to know that the Johnny Cash website is now doing a streaming audio "radio" show every Wednesday starting today. They play rarities like the Spanish version of "Ring of Fire" and talk to people such as John Cash Jr.

    Anyway, I really enjoyed it.

Either go to: Johnny Cash period Com or directly to the player at: Streaming Audio

    Enjoy!

  12. huh, i really liked that ending. things don't all end at once in real life, why does a tv show have to? no matter what they did, at least some things would be left hanging. i thought it was a good picture of who the family is and where they've ended up. how would tony getting killed or being in the slammer in the last scene have made it any better? no complaints from me.

    I concur.
