  1. I've been waiting very patiently for a Red Rocks date this summer!! I've got my hopes up though wanting a late summer Telluride Town Park concert, living on the western slope and all. I can't wait til they announce these dates!!!

  2. His recording setup for this is probably pretty similar to aGiB, which was a small amp, CRANKED with P&C. That's on At Least That's What You Said anyways. This album was recorded in more a "live" style at the loft though, whereas aGiB was recorded at Sears Sound. I'm guessing Jeff probably used more of his own equipment (ie Vox AC30) rather than some special little amp. But no one will really know will they??

It sounds like a P&C to me though.

  3. Here's one that I made up last night to introduce one of my friends to the band. I hope she (and you all) likes it..

    1. Can't Stand It

    2. Lost Love

    3. New Madrid

    4. At My Window Sad and Lonely

    5. One by One

    6. Hummingbird

    7. Magazine Called Sunset

    8. Nothing'severgonnstandinmyway (again)

    9. Was I In Your Dreams

    10. I'm the Man Who Loves You

    11. I Got You (At the End of the Century)

    12. Hate it Here

    13. Pot Kettle Black

    14. Pieholden Suite

    15. Jesus, etc.

    16. True Love Will Find You in the End (Daniel Johnston Cover)

  4. 10-30-04

Pot Kettle Black, Radio Cure, In a Future Age, and Another Man's Done Gone were some of the best tracks played that evening. Wilco got me hooked from the moment they banged out the first chord to Hummingbird to the final chords of Be Not So Fearful. As a 14 year old it blew my mind. Defidently the most worthwhile concert I've ever been to, life has never been the same...

  5. Jeff supporting alternative education makes me a very happy person. Since I ... alternative educate. Greatest thing since breathing I swear. Montessoris are really great. I think the ones out by be are actually funded by the public school...

  6. I thought posting a dead setlist would be really original... anyways

I think Impossible Germany > Handshake Drugs would be awesome or Handshake Drugs > Impossible Germany... sound killer. I wonder if they'll dig back in the catalog a little more for this next tour though... maybe a few more AM songs other than Passenger Side? How about more "rare" material? Some full band Blasting Fondas, a few more Good Parts. I just want to hear Box Full of Letters, and more neat transitions between songs.

  7. Townes van Zandt

Living on the road my friend

Was gonna keep you free and clean

Now you wear your skin like iron

Your breath's as hard as kerosene

You weren't your mama's only boy

But her favorite one it seems

She began to cry when you said goodbye

    And sank into your dreams

    and Paul Westerberg

I'm in love with a face that I've never seen

Once upon a place long time ago

I'm in love with a time that never took place

    That's easy to trace

    As far as I know

And I know everything that I need to sing

    I know everything
