  1. You can't honestly tell me he deserved it over those two, can you?

    Yes, I can.

In other news, Thome went yard with the bases loaded.

    A.J. - 87/267 32 5 28 0 .326

    Hafner - 86/270 67 24 70 0 .319

I'm sure having one more hit in three fewer at bats makes up for 35 fewer runs, 19 fewer home runs and 42 fewer RBI.

  2. Yes, Bolivar...Genious is a term I would use to describe the writing of this album.

    What's a "genious"?

I like Pet Sounds an awful lot, and also am a fan of Kalle's topic starting skills/technique.

  3. Tony G -- yes.

Mark G -- I'm not sure. There is a Mark G, but I dunno if it's the one you're picturing. This dude played for the Cards before playing for us.

In the spirit of this thread, I will now go to a baseball game in support of the boys in blue (as soon as my friend gets here... good thing MChris lives mighty close to the stadium).

  4. Uggla is having a great year, but I'd put Papelbon as a serious contender for ROTY as well, assuming he can reach 40+ saves and maintains a decent e.r.a. (he's at a ridiculous 0.25 or somethingg now, though he certainly won't maintain this for the season). All this assuming he continues to dominate as he has and can bounce back from a few blown saves, though he's yet to blow a game.

Papelbon would not be competing with Uggla fo NL Rookie of the Year. :P

    edit: yep.
