  1. Today, I've decided, is post-rock Friday...
  2. A Certain Trigger is absolutely fantastic... great, great album!
  3. I've gone back to that Maximo Park record a few times now and it still doesn't do anything for me. Probably because I thought the debut was SO good that this one was always going to struggle. They do put on a killer show though NP: This is what Bright Eyes' country record SHOULD have sounded like
  4. Defo - we've dealt with him recently and he's been brilliant... and Muller met him at ATP and he came across as the nicest man in Indie RockĀ™ Urgh... that is the modern curse of gigs... seems as if everyone wants to be the first to post it on youtube, myspaz or what ever. Just watch the fecking gig and put your mobile phone, or whatever, down!!
  5. If you guys dropped them a line, I'm sure they'd answer. Very approachable. Next time I bump into them I'll mention the USA love they're getting!
  6. Shellac - Excellent Italian Greyhound Yeah, that St. Vincent record ain't too shabby at all... NP: Nel Cline's Wilco Podcast - nearly 2 hours of music! Get in!
  7. Nice! For a bit of joint pimping... We're running a week with the Bella Union label (Explosions in the sky, midlake, my latest novel, howling bells) this week: http://www.bellaunion.com/news.php?news_id=2007718141630975 Come on over and read some interviews, reviews and stream some media... And look at Muller's nice photos...
  8. ^^ You should, both Mason and Regan are great live. This is really, really good:
  9. Hmmm... perhaps I just need to find the right environment to listen to it... I've still not got round to listening to the Animal Collective new one yet either. I had an "interesting" experience seeing them live which has kinda tainted my opinion of them... NP:
  10. I really liked it! It reminded me of Deerhoof... if they were perhaps a little less mad. A real lush surprise of a record. Still can't get into that Panda Bear record though...
  11. All this love for the Broken Family Band makes me smile! They're locals from Cambridge, seen 'em play dozens of time and met them a couple of times... nice lads. Played in the local music festival end of August too.
  12. I agree - I absolutely love it and I never thought I would! Waking me from my slumbers this morning:
  13. Cheers for the heads up on this one guys...
  14. ^ Not had a chance to listen to that yet... will do so next!
