That's a good place to start for electric. Acoustic you may want a heavier brass slide, but there's a lot of personal preference involved. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
kaysettes Posted April 29, 2006 Share Posted April 29, 2006 Whenever I try to play bottleneck, it sucks. Even in alternate tuning. Someone suggested this thing you place at the top of the neck to raise the action a wee bit. Anybody know of this? Or should I stop blaming my failures on equipment and actually practice it? Atticus Posted May 2, 2006 Share Posted May 2, 2006 I have never found a slide I'm totally comfortable with--for either acoustic or electric. Got kinda skinny fingers, which doesn't help. Let us know if you find something that feels right. best of luck...
