Welsh Rich
Mercury Music Prize nominations have been announced this morning: Arctic Monkeys - 'Whatever People Say I Am That's What I'm Not'Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan - 'Ballad Of The Broken Seas'Editors - 'The Back Room'Guillemots - 'Through The Windowpane'Richard Hawley - 'Coles Corner'Hot Chip - 'The Warning'Muse - 'Black Holes & Revelations'Zoe Rahman - 'Melting Pot'Lou Rhodes - 'Beloved One'Scritti Politti - 'White Bread Black Beer'Sway - 'This Is My Demo'Thom Yorke - 'The Eraser' Not a bad list for a change... Though I think the AM's will probably walk it - "they've change the music industry" - there's some good music on there; Guillemots, Thom Yorke, Editors, Muse and Richard Hawley are all very good... muller
Surely the Editors album has been out for longer than a year? How did that get in there? Im sure I got that around April '05.
solace
Hawley or Hot Chip for me
m_thomp
Hawley or Hot Chip for me Definitely Hot Chip for me. Editors came out 25th July last year, so that made it in by a week, if they take a year as being from when the shortlist was announced. Welsh Rich
I'd like to see Hawley get it - might see the miserable old bastard smile then I've still not heard that Hot Chip record - sounds like a should get me a copy!
