imsjry Posted September 22, 2006 Share Posted September 22, 2006 all i'm saying (and i'm guessing the above commenter), is this record sorta sounds like it could be a greatest hits in terms of the styles they've covered over the years, that's all. it's not a diss on the album, just an observation. i'm quite aware of their lengthy catalog What I meant was that you never knew what a new Yo La Tengo disc was going to sound like. The new one sounds very familiar to me, as if I've heard it all before. Now, with as many discs as Yo La have have released, this was inevitable and it doesn't mean the disc isn't fantastic.
