jhc
I haven't listened to your mp3 - but the live full band and Tweedy solo versions I've heard are pretty much the same. The trick is you need to be in open G THe opening riff, (also frequently appears over the G chords) is repititions of this: d--------------------b-0-1-0-1s3-3-1-0-g-0-2-0-2s4-4-2-0d-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-g-0----------------0d--------------- for the basic chords, although Tweedy doesn't always do this, I like to do a basic blues shuffle like this: d-----------------b-----------------g-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0d-0-0-2-2-0-0-2-2g-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0d------------------ this is over the G chord - move everything up 5 frets for the C. For the D, I just stum, barring everything at the 7th fret After the D chord, I use this to walk back down to the next G d-7-7-5-5-4-4-3-3b-7-7-5-5-4-4-3-3g-7-7-5-5-4-4-3-3d-7-7-5-5-4-4-3-3g-7-7-5-5-4-4-3-3d------------------ The riff between verses is this: d---------------------5-------------------------------b-3-5------3------3------------3-5------3-----1-0--g------3s4---3s4--------------------3s4------------ X 2d--------------------------------------------0h2------g-----------------------------------------------------d----------------------------------------------------- and the little interlude toward the end, not on the album version, goes like this: d----------------------------------------------------------------------------b--3-3-3-3-3-3-0-0------3-3-3-3-3-3-0-0------3-3-3-3-3-3-0-0---0---g--3-3-3-3-3-3-0-0------3-3-3-3-3-3-0-0------3-3-3-3-3-3-0-0---0---d--3-3-3-3-3-3-0-2------3-3-3-3-3-3-0-2------3-3-3-3-3-3-0-2---0---g--3-3-3-3-3-3-0-0------3-3-3-3-3-3-0-0------3-3-3-3-3-3-0-0---0---d---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hope this helps - let me know if you have any questions
