Like the old Warcraft games were, you look down on the playing field from a birdseye / 45 degree angle. I bought it because a bunch of places gave it rave reviews. It's pretty fun. There is a considerable amount of vulgar language in it, which doesn't really offend me. Some have complained about it though...I mean, it IS a war game where you blow up stuff. Gotta love that violence over vulgarity double-standard. Anyway, I've played all the WWII games also.
