A quick mac question

What is the mac equivalent to "control/alt/delete" to reset it? i updated a bunch of sofware, restarted it, and it's been in eternal thinking mode ever since. you know, the apple with the little circular arrow going around and around and around... cant even get the mouse.

From the mac website:

Option-Command-esc Force Quit

Control-Eject Restart, Sleep, Shutdown dialog box

Control-Command-Eject Quit all applications and restart

i think its control option delete, or apple control delete.

 

also if you hold down the power button for 10 or so seconds, that should do it.

i can usually get to the finder, still, when funky stuff happens. from there force quit does the trick w/o restarting. i've never even had to restart, i dont think. my old PC on the other hand...
