  1. I didn't even realize that the venue had changed for the show! I wonder if it's because the original nights did not sell out...3/24 was Portland Spring Break week, which I am certain was the reason the shows did not sell out.
  2. The Portland, OR show (night #1) is rescheduled to November 9, 2020. New tickets were emailed to me last week. I assume that show #2 will be on November 10th (I did not purchase tix for show #2 -- was supposed to be out of town).
  3. Stunning photos and a great write up. A lot of your impressions were similar to mine, except I really enjoyed the Dr. Dog set! It had been about 10 years since I'd seen them and they still put on a super show. Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos.
  4. Argh, the server crashed in Portland. Did anyone have luck in the Pacific NW presale?
  5. Yes being a GA show kinda guarantees that the first couple rows will be packed with people who are there for the right reason. And as you described, very chill & very friendly, as always. But smartphone video at any concert still always makes me want to punch the person. And I'm not a violent person I have no further questions Doctor Detriot! Thanks! Dr Mom
  6. I *have* to ask: Were smartphones allowed or strictly prohibited?
  7. Wowzers I hope the sick guy is OK. Anyone have an update on his condition? Kind of one of my biggest nightmares. And yeah, glad you got to pee Sammer..
  8. I bought my 4 tix during the Wilcowold presale, and got in right away at 10:00 on the dot. We got 4th row center. Edit to add a link to local paper's write up with a few pics. http://www.oregonlive.com/music/index.ssf/2016/09/wilco_in_portland_photos_review.html#comments
  9. Last night's show was absolutely beautiful. The stripped down, quieter versions of so many old favorites were an unbelievable treat. Totally gorgeous. I especially loved the Summerteeth songs. And Cars Cant Escape is back in rotation! Yay. The stage set was unexpected -- a backdrop of trees and leaves with the band's simple, up-front set up. I am sure it was a quick design plan after Jeff playing the Pickathon Woods Stage . Ok ok, not really...but it was *as close to* the Woods Stage as you could get, while reaping the benefits of the Schniz's acoustics. I was sitting 3 rows behind the guys with the cellphones. The first row of StubHub assholes were seriously unbelievably rude. I have never seen Jeff so frustrated, and yes it totally escalated over the course of the show. First it was a funny and playful comment (but obvious). Then it was a harsh direct call-out. Then Jeff gave the dude the finger WHILE singing, without missing a beat. Then in a moment of total frustration, he tossed his guitar at the end of a song. I also assumed he was going to walk off stage. Thank God he didn't because I would have punched the asshole for cutting it short! I LOVED Jeff's comment directly to the front/center guy: "Do you use your cellphone while you're at the movie theater? No? Well that's interesting. You pay MORE respect to a movie screen, than to live artists on a stage. Alright." Why didn't the fu*%er leave the venue at that point???? Remember a few years ago, there used to be a pre-show announcement "Cellphones and video or camera photos are strictly prohibited?" They need to reinstate that announcement. Otherwise this shitshow will not end. Because the first 2 rows of seated Wilco shows are unfortunately filled with these MoFos. UGH!!! Anyway, Thank you Wilco for another night of music therapy. You're always there when I need you. I can't wait for the new record listening party! xxoo
  10. My dream has finally come true: Jeff playing at Pickathon. Such a fun set last night on the main stage! Can't wait for tonight's set on the magical Woods Stage.
  11. I like the mellow stuff much more. Like, if they would've played At Dawn from beginning to end I would've been a happy girl. Beautiful & interesting venue by the way, especially the atrium entrance. The steep hill leading up (and down!) to the venue was a killer on my knees!
  12. I went to the 2nd show in San Fran. Too much rock for me. I knew it wasn't going to be my cup of tea when Jim came on stage in a black cape and a flying V!
  13. I don't think this is an accurate statement. There are a few songs. Those birds at the beginning of Summerteeth…originally from something else? Right? [that's just one e.g.)
  14. Glad its working again. I am going to stuff the Portland ballot box with Hell Is Chrome as much as I can. It's been too long.
