dannygutters
What is going on in the hank william lead guitar sound on recordings like "Mind your own business"? It's like this really warm plink-plink-plink tone sound, kind of like chet atkins used a lot. Is it the type of guitar, type of amp? I really know not much at all about amps or electrified guitars... I'd like to at lease fake it out with garageband settings or something.
anodyne
are you talking about the hawaiian lap steel?
dannygutters
no, just the lead guitar. Does mind your own business have lap steel in it?
BigWheeledWagon
Probably cranked the old compressor way up like on a lot of country leads. That would give it that "plink-plink-plink" sound to which you refer.
