I was TOTALLY amazed to hear them on the radio this afternoon as I was "seeking". They played "What Light" a little after 5pm. I've heard Wilco here & there on our independent station, but this station is a little more popular and plays a lot more mainstream stuff. The DJ at the time had very nice things to say about the band and the album.

However, he did also tell the listening audience about the "hazing of Wilco" by their dissappointed fans (over the VW commercial). That part made me sad :ohwell being the first time I ever heard about them/us on the air and this is what was said. This makes me wish I could listen to XRT (Chicago) from home and not just when I'm visiting.

I :wub them with all my heart and always will and was very proud to hear them out there :music

There's a local station here that's become fairly tolerable lately (107.1 -- no idea of the call letters) and while we ran out for some errands this evening, they played the new Spoon single followed by "Shake It Off" and "Theologians."

I just about drove off the road. :)

92.5 in Dallas, Texas has to be the best radio station in the country. This weekend I was listening to them because I was in a U-Haul with no cd player, and Tom Petty got my attention. I thought they were just a classic rock station, but then all the sudden New Madrid was playing followed by Bob Dylan's Rainy Day Women #12 and 35. Needless to say I didn't change the channel again.

checking out their website, they seem to play uncle tupelo and at least alt-country wilco (played outtasite, outtamind recently). not to mention plenty of stevie ray vaughan, creedence, ryan adams, etc. http://www.kzps.com/pages/allthingsmusic.html

if you are in dallas and don't have a cd player, i suggest listening to this station. barely any commercial interruptions either.

Our aforementioned local station can't seem to hire a DJ who isn't a moron (guys: just tell me what songs you played, then shut the fuck up), and it's a little too reliant on old Dave Matthews Band hits to flesh out the playlist, but it's pleasantly devoid of Nickelback, so I find myself listening to it fairly often.

I had to search their website to find their call letters: WQKL.
