show start times

i have an offer on a ticket for the charlotte show next wed. however, i will be in myrtle beach until 4:30 -5 pm and its at least 3.5 hours there. the show is listed as an 8pm start for low. have the shows been going off on time and what times have wilco been hitting the stage?

I think you could make Wilco. In Davenport, the show started at 7:30 and Wilco didn't go on until 8:45ish. They might go on earlier since the show starts later, but I think you could still make it if you tried.

I missed half a song last night. Four hour drive from Chicago with bad traffic. You can make it work. Wilco goes on about an hour after Low takes the stage.

cool, thanks for the times. i'm still kicking it around. i'm really worried that charlotte traffic might make the yahoo maps time unrealistic after talking with some coworkers who've made the trip before.

I hate to be a prick, but I have to say...Low's set in Cinci was really unimpressive. They weren't billed on the ticket, they weren't introduced, they just walked on the stage and started playing. A bit too shy to introduce themselves either, it would seem.

 

The first song they did was decent, the second was...okay. After that they all sounded the same, and it started to annoy us. We left after 8 or 9 songs to get a beer, and we weren't the only ones with the same idea. My beef is that they really weren't even half decent musicians, def not accomplished enough to open for the likes of Wilco.

 

In the silence between songs I was really tempted to yell out "Who ARE you guys?" or "Do you guys know any Wilco songs?"

you must've missed the tour with the heads of femur opening.

 

and i'm glad you didn't act on your urges or someone would have been liable to drop a beer on your head. if you don't like the band go hang out in the lobby or score some weed or something. no need to ruin it for those that were enjoying the band, even if they may have been in the minority.
