I know....I've got peeps on the street ready to stand in line for those tix!

Someone take me, please if you get tickets. We won't be in town early enough to try to do the ACL Taping ticket thing (they do a street giveaway via. an announcement on the radio Friday afternoon, right?). When I say "we" I mean "me." My husband will be with me, but he'll be happy to sit in a bar while some kind soul takes me to the ACL taping. (In my dreams, I know).

These tickets never get sold or scalped or anything, do they? Not that I want to support that. I actually had tickets to the White STripes aftershow in my basket even though I knew I didn't want to leave the festival for it (I'd been logged in at 10 a.m. to buy tix to a different aftershow), but my morales got the best of me. I thought "no, I can't scalp tickets" and I dumped them from my basket. Then it sold out in 5 minutes and tickets are going for $250 and up on eBay. I bet if I'd kept them, I could bribe someone to get the Wilco tix for me. Oh-well.

Wilco is doing an ACL taping on Saturday night. I doubt they are playing Stubb's.

How do you know that its at night? Most of the ACL tapings occur during the afternoon or early evening. It would not be likely that they would play the ACL basement and then head straight to Stubbs, but its not impossible either. Heres hoping they head across the street to play a secret show at the Hole In The Wall after the taping. Now that would be cool.

Still a blank slate for that saturday. This is becoming quite odd. I have to say that from the recent setlists I am quite tempted to head up I-35 to the Big D for the friday night show. I would be missing out on an entire day of ACL festivities but it might be worth it. This would be the first time in years that Wilco had not played a full show in Austin, while in town.

"Rumor has it that Wilco will eventually fill the Stubb's spot, while we're unsure if Antone's will host additional shows. The schedule as we know it is listed below:"

This is a month old and I just noted it today. I now feel even more optimistic that Wilco will be playing Sat night. As I said earlier most of the ACL tapings occur in the afternoon (sometimes morning as well) giving the band ample time to make it over to Stubbs for an approx 9pm show.

BTW, for those planning on coming down to the ACL fest and do not have tickets. Do what I did last year. Show up at about noon walk down the street in front of Chuy's, Shady Grove, etc... and you shouldnt have any problem scoring a 3-day pass for under $100. I paid $50 bucks last year for a 3-day pass at 3pm on the first day. In fact, front gate tickets still has passes available for the $145 face value if you dont wont to take any chances.

It's getting awfully close for anyone to announce a show. I'm sure Wilco could sell it out but shit....I wish just someone was announced just to fill it so we'd finally know.

I am with you here.

Unfortunately every year ACL schedules two bands at the same time that I want to see. If I can see Wilco at Stubbs then I can catch some of My Morning Jacket at the festival and still get to see Wilco Saturday night.

OK. This is for the people living in Austin OR who are familiar with the Stubbs venue-

Is it normal for Stubbs to not have anyone scheduled on a night like Saturday? Every night and almost every other place is booked! I getting a little anxious :bounce8

AND another question-

If there was going to be a "secret" show.....how the hell would I find out?! (This question is for the veterans who have witnessed a said show.)

I'm sorta freaking out. I was expecting a call or PM from JT. :monkey
