He didn't know where they were from, of course, but he did mention that they had "heavy" Latino accents. My tale was not intended to spark controversy, just to relay a similar situation to the OP. I hope that the OP decided to tell the truth. What that woman was trying to get away with is insurance fraud, and there are not a lot of gray areas there. If the OP decided to go along with the story, and somehow the truth got out, I wouldn't be so sure that these people (meaning the individuals involved, not any class, race, or religion of people) wouldn't flip the story and say that the OP was involved in the scam if some over-eager investigator offered them a way out.
