YeggmanX
Can anyone help me identify this amp? Nels played it at Wilco's Edmonton show, and I assume for many other recent Wilco shows, because this picture is from the Wilco website. Thanks!
beenthere
It might be a Schroeder (sp.?) amp, they're a guitar repair/custom builder outfit out of Chicago, and apparently Wilco has started using their stuff. There's a link to the company in the Wilcoweb "Links" section.
sean Patrick
off topic. he uses a little amp called oliver, made by jess oliver, the cat who created the ampeg fliptop.a nice sounding amp. i think thats what he uses in the singers.
rileykill
Yeah - the boutique amps are like custom guitars. It's very difficult to identify them unless you are familiar with that particular builder. Lots of that stuff absolutely rocks, though.
WaronWar
Nels also has a nice article on his website about all the different amps he uses or how he always borrows an amp for shows. http://nelscline.com/tech.html It's at the bottom of the page, and it's called "Amp Du Jour."
