auria
hi, I'm from Spain but now I'm working at an elementary school in Schaumburg. I have only been here for a week, but I only work from tuesday to thursday, so I hope I can go downtown at least once a week. Maybe you guys can help me: where should I go in Chicago? I want to know about the places that are not in the city guides. Also about music stores and bars where they play Wilco! Well, anything you think I should see. Thanks!Auria. myboyblue
First, great schedule for work. Second, I would recommend Schubas for live music as well as a "bar that has Wilco on the jukebox". schubas

To add to other bar's that have Wilco on the Jukebox... -Alive One has "Kicking Television" -4 Moons on Roscoe has "Mermaid Ave", don't remember which volume. -Easy Bar has "AGIB" i think

LouieB
thank you so much. and any neighbourhood or area or anything that I cannot miss?It depends on what you want to see. Are you interested in ethnic or hip stuff? For hip stuff see Wicker Park, Lakeview along Southport, boystown on Halstead, Andersonville, Lincoln Square, River North. If you want ethnic stuff see Devon Avenue, Pilsen, Chinatown, and othe places I just can't think of at the moment. Check out the Reader for stuff to do. LouieB
