Gobias Industries
Just some notes: On the main lick Tweedy does a 2h4 on the middle G so you hear the second to third motion. Also when goes to the V chord in the main lick (shows up as D), I think he frets the full D chord, not just a part of it, and then the last is simple the first one repeated. Overall good quality though! And an extra: the intro is sometimes just an outro, and it definitely works with a bunch of other slack-G songs Tweedy has (there are recordings of him playing it as an outro to Dreamer In My Dreams)
zoom
I seem to recall that this transcription started a few years ago with the version on DVD #2 on IATTBYH. I wouldn't be surprised if it changed over a few years, but I agree -- it's still pretty good work there.

anthony
Here is a video of the song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4qCqg5Cgns Feel free to improvise around the themes presented above. A song never sounds good until you make it your own.
anthony
After playing this a few days, I am throwing in some bass notes with my thumb (pinch) during the hammer-ons - gives a more full sound... And an extra: the intro is sometimes just an outro, and it definitely works with a bunch of other slack-G songs Tweedy has (there are recordings of him playing it as an outro to Dreamer In My Dreams) Thanks for the tips. BTW, what other Open G Wilco/JT/UT songs are there? I have been obsessed with this alt-tuning for a while and would like more fodder.
Gobias Industries
Dreamer of My DreamsKingpinWalkenyou can play War on War in open G so it can work I think for Wilco that's it...I'm not familiar enough with the UT catalog (as I should be) so I'm not going to say anything about it.
