Guest Jules
Guitar: "Girlfriend" by Matthew Sweet (Guitars by the incomparable Robert Quine)good call
PopTodd
good call Robert Quine is my favorite guitar player of all time, no doubt. And I was trying to think of a Quine pick (maybe The Voidoids' "I'm Your Man"?), but I went with my Yo La pick because the guitars in that song just take me someplace else. It was tough, but a music geek's gotta do what a music geek's gotta do.
Somnambulist
Drums - The Beatles "Rain"Bass - Radiohead "Airbag" or The Four Tops "You Keep Running Away"Guitar - The Byrds "Chimes of Freedom" I'd have to think on keys and vocals but for pedal steel you'd have to go with "Six Days on the Road" by the Flying Burrito Brothers. PopTodd
Horn (solo): "For No One" - The BeatlesI get chills every time that horn comes in. It was the inspiration for a trumpet solo on one of the songs on my album.THIS SONGI just love how the horn on that Beatles song comes out of nowhere and wanted the same for this tune. It felt right. Horn section: "Move On Up" - Curtis MayfieldAny arguments?
stooka
I've alwys been fond of horns on VM's Into The Mystic.
