What to do in Nashville?

I'm heading down to Nashville from Indianapolis for the show in March, and I'll be there by Sat afternoon and have all day Sunday before the show that night. What sights and sounds would you recommend that isn't too expensive, is accessible, and worth the effort. Thanks!

Country Music HOF is a must-visit, and I can't recommend Monell's enough... fabulous southern-style eats for a suprisingly affordable price (less than $20/person when we went last May)

I'm going to be there, too! Saturday's definitely reserved for the Country Music Hall of Fame. That night we're going down to Franklin for dinner and visiting with some friends. I know several people who live there who want to show us the sites.

Go to Swett's on 28th, the best Meat and 3 around. yummy food!

 

stop by HatchShow print downtown on Broadway, it is very cool. and although the locals scoff at it, i always thought the honky tonks were rather charming and worth a visit. there is also the Pancake Pantry in Hillsboro Village. People line up early for pancakes.

I highly recommend walking down the row of Honky Tonks early afternoon to late afternoon. The place is bustling, talented musicians, beer, food, etc. There really isn't an experience quite like it. That was the highlight for me.
