Sir Stewart
He is indeed. Ever read King of the World by David Remnick?

Whitty
Rivers, ponds, lakes and streams - they all have different names, but they all contain water. Just as religions do - they all contain truths. It doesn't quite ring with the poetic effervescence of "I want your heart, I want to eat your children", but overall not a bad effort on Ali's part. napoleon
i still love the story about how he bet a reporter he could jab his hand 5 times before he said knockout. he got the reporter to stick up his hand and ali said, "say it". so, he said it. and ali stood there and said "wanna see it again?" my friend and i always argue over who would win in a boxing match, bruce lee or muhammad ali, both in their prime. i still say bruce. Strictly boxing? With all the rules thereof?Ali.But a street fight.. Lee for sure.

Mr. Kinsley
I was just thinking about him the other day and how ironic* it is that he is so universally loved today that we forget how polarizing he was back in the day. My entire extended very midwestern, WASPy family hated him with a indescribable passion. It was a sort of "how dare that negro be so boastful and speak his mind in public" thing that really helped shape my opinion of how abhorrent that attitude is. *My last two posts have dealt with irony. How ironic.
