austrya
How can anyone stand to live or do business in the city of Detroit? I can't believe this guy is still in office!!
terrfish
This whole thing makes me totally sick. I was born and raised in Detroit and I can honestly say, from the bottom of my heart, that I have never been more embarrassed for the city. Scandal after scandal, indictment after indictment. And there are STILL people in the city who support the guy. Mind boggling.
austrya
Detroit mayor pleads guilty, to leave office Yay, Detroit!

IATTBYB
Up Next..... Dave Bing? From the NBA? It's FANtastic. http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article...COL10/807110399Detroit could do a lot worse than Bing in my opinion. He has been a successful business owner for a number years. Detroit needs leaders who are willing to make the hard decisions and to build partnerships with the suburbs, espicially in Oakland and Macomb counties. Bing's business contacts and experiences would serve the city well.
austrya
Quoted from the above linked to article about Dave Bing... But by 2006, the percentage of Detroit's population below the poverty level was back up to 32.5% Wow, that number has got to be even higher now with the economy the way it is in the area. MrRain422
Bing can't do any worse than Kwame did. I don't know if anyone can fix Detroit but Bing can probably at least get the task started.
