  1. This is really the first Wilco record since Nels joined the band where they didn't feel the need to pigeonhole him into the record. And for that reason, it's really the best Wilco record since AGIB. I really get the feeling that a lot of these songs were written a while back.
  2. Apropos . . . http://www.theonion.com/articles/archaeologists-uncover-greek-amphitheater-where-fi,38036/?utm_source=Twitter&utm_medium=SocialMarketing&utm_campaign=Pic:1:Default
  3. I still want to know why I got smack-downed on a cover request when he played others . . . Nevertheless, great night. This was a really loose, enjoyable LRS, and everyone that played or sang with Jeff was stellar.
  4. Ticket sales for Chicago must be terrible. You can still pull 4 seats in the center field section.
  5. I was there too. I did enjoy the new songs a lot better live than the studio versions. But for me, something was missing from the show. It was just a little bleh to me. Bermuda Highway, however, was a nice touch (even though it seemed incredibly rushed), and I loved the encore of Monsters of Folk tunes (and the opening act was good too). For me, I'd give it a Pitchfork 6.6 out of 10.
  6. Ha ha. It's great to see Wilco sharing the same stage again with the band to whom Jeff not so affectionately referred as "My Boring Racket."
  7. I have 2 extras as well (Face value -- no service fees). PM me if interested.
  8. I'm obviously in the minority here, but I didn't think it was the best of shows. The rarities of the songs in the setlist were nice to be sure. But the show had a lot of walls, namely the huge momentum shift with Wilco the song and Capitol City. And up until Casino Queen, I thought the first encore was one of the weakest encores I've seen in a long time (but that's just based on personal distaste for Hate it Here and You Never Know). Overall, I'd give it a nice Pitchfork 6.6 out of 10.
  9. I love when I'm standing second from the rail at a GA show immediately behind someone that waited in line for 8 hours compared to my 20 minutes.
  10. I like how they went from Standing O to I'm A Wheel. I've always linked those two songs up.
  11. Intimate? Yes. But not the best venue if you're upstairs and not right up against the railing. It can be extremely tough to see over people's heads if you're stuck behind them upstairs.
  12. So yeah, I just pulled up 2 tickets. Weird.
  13. I don't think there's a chance in heck that they're still available.
