radiokills Posted February 14, 2008 Share Posted February 14, 2008 ok so im sure there are numerous threads discussing the alleged "genius" of jeff's lyrics, but i just wanted to comment on the incredible consistency of them. in almost every song, there are lines or phrases or multiple lines and phrases that i consider to be both beautiful and meaningful. the best way i can describe it is that there is at least a line from every song that i would want to put in my "favorite quotes" section of facebook. im going to assume that this fact isnt unknown to many people, and is probably one of the central reasons for liking wilco so much. but i was listening to this part of wishful thinking, and had to express my feelings somewhere I shook down those linesTo shine up the streetsI got up off my hands and kneesTo thank my lucky stars that you're not me anyways, discuss!
