jcarlile1
Yeah, I know there has been tons of pics posted from these shows, but are they patting down and checking pockets, etc. and confiscating cameras? I ask this because I read this on a blog: And why there's only one lame picture of the outside sign: Those taking pictures were escorted outside each night after three songs, and not allowed back in the venue until ridding themselves of their camera. Fearing I wouldn't get back in, I opted not to make use of the photo pass. Posted by Todd Martens on February 18, 2008 in Wilco | Perm Hoping to get a few pictures undisturbed... Thanks! LouisvilleGreg
Actual cameras I'm not sure, but if you have a camera phone, you'll be fine.

Thanks! From what I can tell, the people being escorted out were taking video. Tons of people were taking still photos with no problem. I could be wrong. Just what I witnessed last night. Analogman
Although - if they had some sort of sign about it - then I suppose one takes thier chances.

mjm71
The band states that still photography and audio (not video) recording are cool with them. Each venue has its own rules, which usually frown upon such activities. As a result you will often get mixed responses from security - "Cameras are OK? I didn't get the memo." On Tuesday nite I tried to take my digi-SLR into the Riv. I was stopped at the door. I exclaimed "cameras are OK." After a little debate the "manager" came over and said some cameras are OK. He said "professional" cameras are not allowed. No pro in the world today would be caught using a five year old digi-rebel body, nevertheless I was not allowed to bring it in. That made me sad. The "professional vs point-&-shoot" camera divide is one of the silliest things I've heard of. What's really ironic is that most SLRs can't take video, but all point-&-clicks do take video. And video is what everyone is so uptight about anyway... -sigh,marty

However, I did get a few good pics from many photos I took with a point & shoot and plan to set up a flicker file. I was on the rail and got a few good shots, plus had some assit from kindly rail mates. I actually have more difficulty using the P & S as it was new to me but I brought it cuz i knew they would boot me with the SLR.
